@HealingTalk

Hi,

Are these questions not changing weekly, or is there a glitch that keeps taking me to the same post?

  • How have you been feeling these days? I frustrated, depressed, and just plain stuck. I feel like I am uninspired and the place I am at is toxic and draining. I have major health issues and I feel like I am getting push from doctor to doctor.

  • How was your weekend, overall? Meh. . . I am fighting sinuses as it is in my eyes, cheek pressure, and nose. (I hate when people think it's covid. Covid doesn't have eye symptoms. My neighbor mowed their grass, and my sinuses have gone crazy.)

  • Which were your best times this weekend? Whenever I would talk to my boyfriend. He said I was cute even with a stuffy nose.

  • Which were not-so-good times? Stuffy nose going to my throat and hacking coughs, which made it hard to relax.

  • What do you wish to achieve this week? I would like to win the lottery so I can better myself and help others. I also would like to get some writing done. I also wish I can get my brother a replacement SS card without jumping through hoops.

Dear Rebekah:

Thank you for checing in!

I am sorry you feel stuck, uninspired and frustrated.

The craft of writer is particularly tough in this sense, much more than in any other profession.

Overcoming the "blank page syndrome", when you feel frustrated by a lack of creative ideas to put in writing is a great challenge writers face.

It's like the dark side of the moon, not pretty, but an integral part of it.

Your health issues and living in a toxic environment must be huge challenges too, that make even more difficult to achieve your career goals.

I admire that you continue moving forward with determination your writing career and your life, despite all these drawbacks. There is a lot of merit in that.

It is a blessing that you have a good, caring boyfriend that supports you in all your struggles.

I imagine that his company must be a crucial pillar of support in your life.

I wish you all the best!

See you soon!

Marcelo.

  • I have been feeling very frustrated and alone. I have Been feeling unmotivated and low energy. I have been feeling like I am barley human. I remember there was a time before I had felt like this. And it was great, but for now I don’t understand who I am or what I want or why I feel the ways I do. I know I need change, but I’m not sure how to grasp that. I want to feel like a person again. I want to love who I am again. I want to feel joy again.
  • My weekend was okay, I’m guessing. Every day kind of just feels the same. It’s passed, that’s all I know. I can’t remember anything about it specifically.
  • I sat in my moms room and we talked a little. It feels nice to talk with people even though I usually feel like it is hopeless, and that they’ll never see who I am. Or understand why I am the way that I am. That I’m depressed. I just assume they see quiet and dull.
  • Everyone in my family had a day off on Sunday, which is nice I guess but it hurts to spend time with everyone. Like I know they love me, and I love them deeply, but it’s so exhausting to socialize and to remind myself that I am a existing person on this planet. Like every time I socialize I remember “oh I’m in somebody’s life and they love me”, which is good but it’s also hard. Because it takes effort to maintain relationships with people.
  • I would like to get a job, I’m hoping that will help me. I’m also hoping that I will get a therapist, though that’s been super challenging for me. I’m hoping that I will continue to see glimpses of who I feel as I am. I’m hoping that they can remind me to stay hopeful.

If anyone is feeling the ways I do, you are not alone. It’s easy to feel that you are, but you’re not. I don’t think I am. Just remember to keep going and to stay strong. Because each days a different battle.

@Stinkysluggr

Hello Stinky!

Thank you for checking in!

I am sorry you are going through so much loneliness, lack of energy, and frustration.

The fact that you remember a time you felt well, is a spark of hope that some day you might get better again.

I read in your profile that you actively practice healing activities like meditation, yoga, somatic experiencing, and listening to music.

Also that you are trying to learn how to regulate better your emotional life.

So you are actively involved on a sound healing path, advancing towards that light at the end of the tunnel, that spark of hope.

You are right that depression is very difficult to perceive and understand from the outside. It is a mystery even from the inside, why we might feel this way.

Socializing is of enormous help, but also might get exhausting for a depressed person.

There is a lot of merit in all the efforts you do to connect with your family.

And the fact that you do feel a deep love for them is a very healthy thing you have.

It motivates you to stay connected despite the impulse to isolate, so typical of depression.

Maybe you should let yourself "Just do it" without much thinking. Just being there with them is good enough.

You are right that both getting a job and doing therapy will be hugely positive for you.

Having a job increases self-esteem because of all the social values associated with paid work.

On the other hand a jobless person is as infinitely valuable as a working one.

By the way, these are tough economic times worldwide, so don't blame yourself if you can't get a job these days.

I love your inspirational words for all the members of this community "Just remember to keep going and to stay strong. Because each day is a different battle."

It tells a lot about how strong, determined and perseverant you are despite it all.

It is an honor to have you here.

I look forward to seeing you again soon.

All the best!

Marcelo.

I hate you all so much. If you’re going to post that you’re “sending hope and peace” then I don’t even want to hear from you. I was hospitalized for three days because I gave myself a concussion from a suicide attempt [edited]. Got into a fight with another patient in the psych ward and now I’m facing charges for assault. Your hope and peace doesn’t mean anything at all [edited].

Dear Server:

Thank you for coming here, even in such a very bad situation.

You have the right to vent your anger here.

In this respect, I accept your hatred and your angry words.

I am very sorry that you were in such a dark place that you attempted to end.

It must have been an extremely dark moment.

I am also sorry that you were severely injured while attempting that.

Those attempts are very risky even if they don't achieve their intent.

I know cases of people that ended up with severe disabilities after such an attempt.

On top of that, you have now to face legal charges for fighting with another patient.

I imagine it must be very irritating to deal with that right now, to say the least.

You are always welcome here.

You can say here what comes to your mind.

I look forward to seeing you here again soon.

Marcelo.

I made sure to get some sleep and think on it before responding here:

At first I didn't think it was cool that my post was deleted, but I get it. My original reply wasn't very supportive at all.

I'm just very tired and very stressed out. Sure, my problems don't really compare to others, but the one thing I want but can't have right now is for my best friend to agree to a phone call with me.

I accidentally hurt my neck, I literally woke up like this, and I'm so annoyed with myself because I have all sorts of stuff I need to do today and I'm two pills away from maxing out on ibuprofen (mostly because the agreed upon limit is like 6 pills a day and I had to take my second set earlier than I wanted to).

I have an ice pack against my dumb neck and I'm trying really hard not to aggravate it more than necessary.

You could say I'm just not in a good mood.

@integrityblues

I am sorry you are so tired and stressed out.

We wish to carry on with our lives, do things and achieve goals, and tiredness and stress interfere so much with that. Sometimes block it altogether.

This might be very frustrating, on top of the annoyance and discomfort that tiredness and stress bring by themselves to our body and minds.

Regarding what you say, that "your problems don't compare to others", each of us has their own problems, that are important in themselves regardless of comparisons.

Your feelings are important, even if you know that somewhere, someone might be in a worse situation than you.

There will always be someone in a worse situation, because there is no limit to the bottom.

That doesn't invalidate the fact that your problems are real, significant, and you feel strong emotions about them.

I can imagine how annoyed you might be with your neck pain. One of those nasty "surprises" we have from time to time, that appear from nowhere, and interfere so much with our lives while they last.

I wish you that you get better from your tiredness and your neck pain.

And that you can have a long and fruitful conversation with your friend.

All the best!

Marcelo.

  • How have you been feeling these days?
  • How was your weekend, overall?

It was overwhelming. How about you?

  • Which were your best times this weekend?

Every time I prayed or spoke to my family members. I am alone so only praying and talking to my people helps me here.

  • Which were not-so-good times?

In the morning, when I had to get up. When I had to cook something for myself. When I had to do anything in general.

  • What do you wish to achieve this week?

Tranquility.
