I'm sorry to hear that you have felt unsupported here. Have you tried connecting to a listener or have you just been having trouble getting replies in the forums? Nobody here should feel unsupported and I wish you the best of luck and I am more than happy to try to help if I can. You can always get support in th forums, just a lot of times it takes a little longer to get a response so can be harder to get immediate support. We do all care and we all want you to get the support you are looking for.

Both....listeners either care and are never around for support or are around and don't. At all.
Forums I scream....aching for support and get people vote up my post and didn't actually take the time to reply. Really....? The best I get is nice job for hurting? So glad my hurt matters so much.
Especially lately all I have found anywhere on 7Cups is hope for support and I have yet to find it.

That can definitely be really rough. Not having someone for support can be really hard and especially when we expect it and rely on it. And it can feel really rough not feeling heard. It can take a lot of work and time to find a listener that will be the best fit (how much they are around and what their listening style is etc. ) and it can definitely be hard to get a response in the forums sometimes. You re definitely heard right now and I am sorry that you have had to feel differently here before. We are definitely working towards making sure everyone is heard and every post gets more than an upvote. And you are right, an upvote is not support. I'm definitely here for you along with a lot of others and we would love to hear from you!!

I feel like I find people that say they want to help and support in forums or other places that I believe want to support just enough to open up and then the support disappears again....leaving me hurt all the more.

I'm really sorry that that has been happening and it is definitely not right. It's your choice about reaching out but there should always be someone there for you when you do reach out. I know that some listeners don't do extended support and are just doing short term. Have you tried looking into finding a long term listener?

That is all I look for....I don't think an hour talk will do anything to the way I feel. Honestly the listeners I have talked to me most recently felt more like friends and less then the you have X amount of listener.....and yet surprise surprise they are gone too.

you should both say in this thread about yourselves such as your age what youd like support with when you expect to meet with the listener you have to clearly communicate what your looking for to find a good match listeners are going to come across this thread and read what you both write here but noone knows what you dont say also there is a thread members can post in looking for long term listeners you can do the same there both of you if you havent already say a little about yourselves what your looking for in a listener age gender personality when you want to meet exc. saturnsown i dont know if these listeners your talking about who seemed like friends and left if you had a talk with them about how often you expected to talk with them and agreed to meet at a certain time and they didnt but thats something you need to communicate and come to an agreement on if your wanting to talk at a certain time how can they know unless you tell them ?

no im saying if your wanting to talk to someone every day or a couple times a day once a week or whatever your wanting from a listener to talk to them about that so you both agree and there are no hurt feelings you have to tell people what your wanting noone can read your mind

I'm sorry that any listener would have told you that. That is not what active listening is and it is not right for anyone to talk to you badly. Have you tried leaving a review telling what they were saying and giving feedback so that they could improve? Nobody should feel bad because of talking to a listener and we value quaality listeners here.
Being told this site values quality is laughable.
Yes I've left reviews. Yes I've tried various listeners. Yes I've tried forums. Yes I've tried chatrooms.
