Medication vs Therapy

Think of your negative thoughts or anxious thoughts as an alarm bell

Medication = Helps with the volume of the alarm

Therapy = Helps with how many times the alarm is triggered.

If you are experiencing any signs and symptoms of mental illness, please talk to a professional and get an assessment. A combination of both therapy and medication is beneficial.

I know it's scary, but it's worth it!

I have been suffering with clinical depression for an year now. I have been surviving on willpower alone. But recently it all just exploded. I'm getting suicidal thoughts a lot. I don't know when I might act on them.

I am trying to find a clinical psychologist and a psychiatrist here in India but the problem is I am very unsatisfied with the results. I'll go to the psychiatrist next week for the medication part. But I am very confused about the therapy part. I feel so confused. No one tells me what f*cking problems I'm dealing with. I constantly have to figure things out myself instead of the therapist helping. What should I do? Like why and what am I paying for if I have to figure out everything myself?
