What do you hate about yourself?

Depression is bizarre in how in alters the way we think. We may know logically that it is our depression making us think this way but knowing that doesn't invalidate it. So write down what exactly you hate about yourself, let it all out. Once you do look back at what you wrote. Hopefully documenting your thought process will make it easier to work through your issues. Plus we will all be here to help.

I hate that I can't control my abilities as an empath. I absorb so many ppls emotions to the point where I can't even feel my own emotions anymore and I loose my mind.

i hate that being poor and having mental problems puts me at the mercy of others. But that is my lot in life, it seems.

My shyness. How I miss amazing opportunities just because I'm very scared to talk to people.

@Redward

I had an acquaintance whom I really yearn to talk to. Fast forward, I found out that he had a crush on me. I felt like damn, he's a nice guy, things would be different and we probably get along well. All I can say is sometimes you just have to pluck out the courage to do things. Who knows someone on the other side is probably just as shy/ curious about you?

Start small sounds like a cliche and I abhore using that phrase.

Instead try Do the minimal wink. For example, just a simple hello, good morning when passing by works wonders. Then few encounters later, proceed to, how's your day? Hey what's up? Nice shoes! You can also start with random strangers, like your frequent neighborhood. Trust me on this, Redward, it works wonders!

Regards,

A person who was shy and was shyed before...haha

Note:

If in any event you're socially anxious or not socially comfortable, I understand, I was there too!

Because I overcame it through, therefore I hope somewhere it would help any person reading this that it's possible :)
