What do you hate about yourself?
Depression is bizarre in how in alters the way we think. We may know logically that it is our depression making us think this way but knowing that doesn't invalidate it. So write down what exactly you hate about yourself, let it all out. Once you do look back at what you wrote. Hopefully documenting your thought process will make it easier to work through your issues. Plus we will all be here to help.
I'm pointless.
my lack of self confidence
That i worry so much and get so down when things go wrong...i wish i could be more resilient. Some people have the ability to just let things roll off their back and bounce back quickly. I admire that and I wish that I could do that easily, but for me its a fight day to day and sometimes can be so overwhelming and tiring.
@Nans17
This is exactly how I feel. Everyone says dont let it get to you, dont let it ruin your day, just let it go and I cant. The disappointment and irritation when something doesnt turn out as planned or expected stays with me and I dwell on over and over again and I hate it.
I hate when I get indecisive about everything even small things. It is frustrating.
being very fragile to little cruel words and actions and being very selfish and unfair when i don't get what i want.
my appearence and how i'm so problematic
Everything. I hate the person that I am on the outside but, also the person that I am on the inside. I am so sensitive and, it's embarrassing. Even the smallest things affect me.
Sometimes it's sobering to know what an utter waste I am
There once was a young boy with a contagious smile,
There was a light so bright he didnt even care to stare,
He thought that the light would always be there,
So he never opened up his side to the light that was so bright,
Before he could blink the light was starting to dim,
His smile quickly began to turn to a grin,
That was only on the outside... on the inside he was walking on thin ice,
His heart shrank nearly twice its size,
If it wasnt for his faith in God he would not be alive,
Then one day he tried to turn the light back on,
He knew what he needed to do... he asked her to prom,
His heart and mind were at a constant clash,
Finally when the war was over and the smoke cleared his heart was standing,
She said yes... she said yes he thought Im complete there is nothing left,
The light that was so bright I finally got to hold so tight even if it was just for one night,
I found that the light that was so bright was so close I could grasp it in my hand,
I had been floating for years and now I was starting to see land,
Before I could even blink the same light that had me on the brink,
Was starting to fade away again,
Not again please no... I never got to tell you,
But it was too late the light was gone again,
He could now taste the bitter dark old friend,
Hes been trying to light a match ever since
But its hard to do when he cant see
Always trapped in his mind
Thinking about how much happier he could be.
Where do I even start honestly
- My bad posture
- My awkwardness
- My wide shoulders
- My social anxiety
- How tired I am all the time
- My hair, its long, straight and light brown but not thick and it always seems to look bad
- The way I overthink everything
- That Im just an unlikeable person who tries too hard and looks stupid but cant get over herself and her own issues
