What do you hate about yourself?
Depression is bizarre in how in alters the way we think. We may know logically that it is our depression making us think this way but knowing that doesn't invalidate it. So write down what exactly you hate about yourself, let it all out. Once you do look back at what you wrote. Hopefully documenting your thought process will make it easier to work through your issues. Plus we will all be here to help.

My uncertainty
why am i continuing to hurt myself, when i already know it will...
I am inadequate. I don't like the way I look or how I act. I'm really clingy and have bad attachment issues but I can't make friends and I worry too much.
my stutter.
@Miriam6
Awww...Have you seen "The King's Speech" movie (2010)? I had many good friends who stuttered and everybody who cared about them liked them alot😊
@beyondrepairs i have seen that movie actually. Fantastic film, it is. My mother stuttered too and i inherited it from her. We watched it together years ago. I was never too open about it because it made me self conscious and very vulnerable which i hated but after so many painful years of beating myself up over my ill-communication and feeling like a total loser due to my weak tongue, i am just learning self love and acceptance.
@Miriam6
I used to stutter and get cross eyed too when mad, threatened or simply concentrating😊, but shhh, don't tell anyone about it😉😊
I had a friend and neighbour. He had a terrible car accident, suffered brain damage and stuttered as a result of that, but he was still the bright friend I knew, just in a different "presentation"😊
@beyondrepairs you are a very kind soul. no worries my friend, your secret is safe with me;)
looking back now, i realise how much the speech impediment has influenced my life and relationships with others. it is still quite difficult to talk about and i am new to this whole 'venting' thing but it feels good to let my guard down for once and not be ashamed about it. it's so hard sometimes and i hated myself for so long due to my inability to express exactly what i wanted and needed to be heard. it is utter torment to know precisely what you want to say but be blocked in doing so. It feels like being crushed under a truck. i am naturally an extrovert and i highly enjoy interacting/communicating with others and being in good company, but this has been a great obstacle in my way of fullfilling my true happiness. I am a super strong person and i absolutely despise feeling weak. My stutter is the epitome of weakness. I have felt alone for so long due to it. I still have hope to outgrow it sometime and even if i don't, it is quite nice to be understood by others especially those who have had similar experiences.
@Miriam6
You will be stronger for doing it😊
@Miriam6
Embrace who you are and you will find confidence...
