What do you hate about yourself?
Depression is bizarre in how in alters the way we think. We may know logically that it is our depression making us think this way but knowing that doesn't invalidate it. So write down what exactly you hate about yourself, let it all out. Once you do look back at what you wrote. Hopefully documenting your thought process will make it easier to work through your issues. Plus we will all be here to help.
I hate the fact that I never feel good enough and I always compare myself to others.
@Musicismyworld
Me too, friend, me too
@EastAfrique
Im very sorry. That truly is the worst. Sending support .
My extra fat my belly looks like I'm pregnant and my lose skin on my legs and butt makes my uncomfortable,My scars make me feel like I can't wear certain clothes cause I feel like ppl stare and laugh at them. Sometimes I don't care but then most times I'm terrified that I may never be truly happy with my body.
@limegreenWalker9242
There is nothing wrong with extra weight, loose skin, or scars. Many of us have those, including myself. Most of the time I am too busy hating myself to notice anyone else's appearance, and I don't believe anyone whose opinion is worth hearing would find it funny or something to stare at.
"Those who mind don't matter.." and all that song and dance.
Inability to not let my past affecr me in the present, not being able to let go of my trauma
@teleah70
Me too, my tomorrows have been ruined by my yesterdays.
@teleah70 I know it is hard to let go of your past we all go thru this. You are not alone. Sending you hugs :)
One of the things I'm willing to reveal publicly is that I hate my nose. I think it's too wide for a female so I think it makes me look like a man.
@demonicbunny
Your nose is beautiful and is, in fact, quite thin and narrow.
@EastAfrique
No, is the computer camera, somehow it distorts my features and makes them look better.
Everyone keeps on leaving me, and no one seems to give two craps about how it affects me and my self esteem/self worth.
A lot of things. I hate who I've become. I hate my face, my body, my lack of personnality, interest and motivation. I used to be somebody.
@Marie11W
You look beautiful and you are doing your best. The lack of personality is a symptom of depression, as are the apathy and anhedonia. Do not blame yourself, you did not choose this life.
@EastAfrique
Heyy, thanks for replying xx
@Marie11W I don't see a problem with that face
@SaintClrStudente
haha funny but thankss <3
@cosmicjellyfishqueen Literally everything...
I hate that I refuse to talk to my friends and family about what I'm truly feeling. I know the ones I'm closest to are willing to talk or listen to me whenever I'm feelin depressed, but they also tell me I'm their rock due to me being the person they turn to in their own worst times. I really want to talk to them in turn, but I can't. I don't want them to see that their so called rock is crumbling to pieces on a near daily basis.
I also hate my breasts. They're huge, caused scars from bra straps and underwire cutting into my skin, attract unwanted attention, and breast reduction surgery is more expensive than breast augmentation in my area.
So. Yeah...
My anger, hearing impairment, how I look physcially. My depression.
My inability to make a choice and stick with it
