What do you hate about yourself?
Depression is bizarre in how in alters the way we think. We may know logically that it is our depression making us think this way but knowing that doesn't invalidate it. So write down what exactly you hate about yourself, let it all out. Once you do look back at what you wrote. Hopefully documenting your thought process will make it easier to work through your issues. Plus we will all be here to help.
I hate my social anxiety. I wish I could just talk to anyone about anything and be completely fine but I'm not. I wish I could make friends easily and have people genuniely interested in me and not always the other way around. I hate the fact that I dont have any dreams or aspirations. I wish I was pretty and have people attracted to me. I hate how I don't love myself and find it so hard to even point out one good thing about myself. I'm just self distructive.
@helloidek
I have social anxiety as well and I can relate. I see you and I validate how you feel. You're not alone and it may not be today but someday the worst moments of your life will be a distant memory. Hold on, keep fighting, you are worth it! 😊
@Invisibility101
ah thank you so much! You're completely right <3 seriously thank you, I needed to hear that
I hate everything about myself right now, especially my loneliness.
My weight
my family
the fact that im so demotivated about everything
@cosmicjellyfishqueen I hate myself for being so vulnerable and comfortable in depression. I end up not taking care of myself, isolating myself, ignoring people, and letting go of my responsibilities. I hate myself because of all the resources I have to spend: time, money, and effort to dig myself out every time. I hate that I have not learned from my past experiences or found a solution to stop the cycle even though I am quite self-aware of it. I hate that I have so much trouble expressing myself and unable to connect with people during these long phases. I hate how lonely it is when I finally wake up. But to end on a positive note, as hard as it hurts mentally and physically, somewhere deep down subconsciously I don't want to give up.
I hate how ugly I am and I just don't like my body. I hate that I complain about my body but don't do anything to fix. I feel about things but don't do anything to fix and I just hate myself for that. I don't put effort into anything and I am always acting out when I am with my friends and other people. It's like I am trying to impress them by being stupid but I just end up acting really annoying. I don't get myself.
I hate that no matter how much effort I practice at my hobbies, I just can't become better... never rewarded, just punished even further. I hate my clumsiness. I just hate everything about myself, both inside and outside. I don't understand why folks these days want a "perfect" image in just about anyone.
Hate is such a strong word. I can't really say theres anything about myself that I hate. Theres things I could definetly improve upon and things I dislike, but nothing that I hate. I can't even say that I hate having PTSD as a result of surviving gun violence, because thats part of me. It's part of my story and I'm ok with that. If anything, I would say I hate how awesome of a friend I can be. specifically how loyal i am to my friends, loyal to a fault. Sometimes I'm loyal at my own expesnse for those that don't reciprocate. That gets old. I suppose I hate that.
My inability to connect with people.
@Sylwind, I understand. I feel the same.
@purpleTree4652
So, we're connecting over a shared inability to connect with people. Is that irony? I'm not entirely sure.
I hope your path to learn how to is smoother than mine.
@Sylwind, thank you Sylwind. I wish you the best, too.
@Sylwind
i feel you. Why is it so hard :(
@helloidek
It is simply a skill that is hard to learn. Maybe we just need to find good teachers and stop being so hard on ourselves for not excelling in everything.. Even if so many seem to be naturally good with other people. I'm sure things can get better, just need to figure out how things work.
I have a short pen... and I don't have strong erections. Actually I never had strong erections. I'm only 25, I asked a doctor of this and he couldn't figure out why this happens
