Depression Support Check-In: August 24th-30th 2023
Hello community!
Thinking about self-care, I thought how sometimes some people do a lot for others and little about themself.
It
could be doing things for family members, friends or even co-workers
and the risk is to spend a lot of energy, but it's important to save
some of it, for self-care.
* On a daily basis, how much of what you do is for yourself? How much is for other people?
* What would you do to improve your self-care moments?
* Did you do something lately that helped caring for yourself?

Hi Optimistic!! 😊
That's great, important is to start, don't be in a rush, take it in steps 😊
You are doing great in having started considering self care, that's the big step that can guide you through the improvement path!
Let's keep updated, let me know how things proceed and... keep on going 💪
@MeaningfulSilence
Hi, Silence,
On a daily basis, how much of what you do is for yourself? How much is for other people? It's currently almost all for myself.
* What would you do to improve your self-care moments? I would do them at all. Since classes started my schedule is all out of whack.
* Did you do something lately that helped caring for yourself? I did a little bit of sleeping longer and a little bit of schoolwork that I didn't want to do.

BESTVASE7265! :) It's so nice to hear from you. I've thought of you and hoped you are ok.
How are you? Have you been enjoying summer?
hey everyone.
i've had a good summer. Enjoyed the outdoors and tried a few new things. I decided instead of going back to school in the fall, I will now register for spring instead. I'm planning on taking developmental psychology online, since I work full time. I plan on completing the rest of my 6 courses and then applying for an accelerated nursing degree. I'd eventually want to become a psychiatric nurse practitioner.
Regarding self-care, most of what I do is for someone else. I do need to start putting myself first. Right now, i'm still practicing my driving so that I can take my road test in october.
One way I practice self-care is by making sure I get a full night of sleep. When I am sleep deprived I am not as productive as I normally am
