Depression sucks 💜

Hi friends, 💜

its meeee again! weeeee! hehe Hope your doing well! I understand that we all have our good and bad days. We can get through this friendsss together💛 be gentle with yourself (or at least try) and love you all💜

Me understand that this is a sensitive topic so if any of this post has affected you in any way please reach out for support 💛 proud of you friends!

I grew up being told phrases like: "Depression isn't real" , "Depression and anxiety are for stupid people" or something like "Depressed people can't face the world and they are just cowards" despite all the trauma these people put me through and till this day it angers me and i still have fears of opening up. and I am sure you can relate in some ways <3

And one day, i fell into depression and anxiety. I had bad days. I went through sleepless nights. The not wanting to get out of bed days. Some days i was just super unproductive. And then again, surviving constant trauma as well as the weight of the torment of the events going on in my life.

It felt like i was carrying the weight of the world on my back. like i was digging for something. but it always hit me.... that i was done. and i was tired. and i couldn't do it anymore.

friends, societies views and stigmas on depression don't define you <3 you are not just your depression or what your going through 💜 you are so much more than that and i am so so proud of you. Love you all. Your not alone!

Bunny

"You don't tell people you're not okay, she said. Because its hard watching them not know what to do.

Then you end up comforting them, even though the one who you needed was comforting you"

It does happen actually.

Just this and that. But I guess the biggest "this" is the loss of my Aunt on October 9th. She was sick for seven years so I am glad she is no longer sick, but it sire does suck doe us left behind.

I hear you and your feelings are valid my friend. Grief is something that stays with us 💛 I can understand why the loss of your aunt has brought so many feelings. Firstly, I am so sorry about your aunt and I hope you and your family come through this together 💛 I am sending all my condolences. I understand that she was sick for over 7 years, that is quiet a long time  💛  I know it sucks friend, its horrible to loose someone whether its a family or a friend. I am so proud of you for sharing  💛 take your time buddy. your feelings are valid and its important to acknowledge your feelings at these times. 💛 I lost my dad so i know how it feels to loose someone. 💛

She took me in when I moved in with my Father (my Momma passed away over seven years ago). Took me out to eat, had me oat her house. Had this midwestern gal at the beach in south Texas several times. Special memories not to be forgotten. Just like memories of my Momma. They will live on within me.

aww i hear you 💛 sounds like you had a close relationship and she has been a part of your life in so many different ways. 💛 and of course, the people we love almost sit within us and have a special place inside us. i totally understand how you feel. 💛 and the people we love the most, we hang on to and once they leave it all feels dark and stressful and we fall into grief 💛 your feelings are valid. take your time with your feelings 💛 your so brave for talking to me 💛 this is a difficult time for you. :(

thank you for the pep talk bunny, we appreciate you 💜🫂 I've had one friend told me to "snap out of it" funny thing is, he knew what it was like to be depressed as he too was once dealing with depression to the point he wanted to unalive himself, thankfully he didn't.

hi there lovely 💙 Sounds like a difficult situation to be told to "snap out of it". This happens often when people tell us to get over it or snap out of it. :( its really hurtful especially when we are going through so much and inside our head can become a little jumbled 💙 everyone deserves support and love when they are struggling 💙 i understand he was going through an uncertain and difficult time in his life and was in a crisis :( thank you for sharing with us. its so important to acknowledge, that depression and anxiety and so many other issues, are not just something we snap out of, but rather acknowledging our mental health and how we feel 💙 its a healing process and takes time. 💙 hope your being gentle to yourself 💙 thank you for being here!

thank you for being here, such a kind soul. we're no longer on speaking terms for other reasons, however, at the time I confided in him, all I wanted was to vent. I'm being gentle on myself though, thank you 💜
