Depression while Pregnant

I'm pregnant for the first time. Right at 15 weeks. I dont have any support. Sure, I have my husband... but I don't have any woman support in my life. No village. No friends. Not even family is interested. Whenever someone asks... they ask about the baby. I mentioned being stressed out about having gestational diabetes... and was met with "but baby's okay right?"

I've also been hand making tons of things for this baby, and have been excited to share each item... but no one is interested. I'm just sad, no one seems to care. I don't expect to be center of attention but I did expect at least a little care and support, especially from those who I specifically made sure of when they had their babies. I checked in with THEM about THEM first and I'm just... not receiving the same care. I'm so exhausted. Tired of being an afterthought. I dont want to be absorbed by my baby. I want to still be a person too.

@selfinflictedhealing

That's tough you deserve care as well. It's good that you're husband cares but I get that it's not the same. Please know that I care so much and if you ever need to talk I'm here for you. You matter 🫶

@selfinflictedhealing

hey, I am sad to hear you feel this lonely… most people gets so busy with their life’s they don’t find the capacity to show deeper care. They will ask some questions on top of their head and those might be about the baby. It’s more exciting, right? Not everyone is as naturally caring as you.

Would you like to share some pictures of what you made for your baby?
