Feeling behind and lost

Life has been going by fast for me. Two of my friends bought their first house and are getting engaged and my younger brother and sister are getting college offerings, and my cousins having kids.

Meanwhile I have been working at the same minimum wage job for nearly three years now. I can’t drive and have to rely on my little brother to take me to work I still live with my mom. I ended up quitting college because I couldn’t handle the stress from Covid being big at the time and my dad pressuring me saying I couldn’t earn anything less than a B. Because of anxiety and getting stuck inside my own head I ended up pushing myself away from my friends for most of high school. Most of relatives just see me as lazy and think I’m just coasting along life despite being stressed nearly 24/7. I’ve been trying out some anti stress and mood boosting gummies I bought on Amazon but they just leave me frustrated with my current situation.

I’m trying to make efforts to improve myself. I started going back to college but I’m only taking two classes at the moment and am just barely keeping up with my classes. I’ve been taking driving lessons but I’m barely improving at that too.

The worst part is that even if I pass my classes and get a degree and even if I get my drivers license I still don’t know what I want to do in my life. Life just feels to hard to handle and I’m finding less and less motivation to get up in the morning.

@Ezmel222 you know what, I think cruising through life is the best way to be. I know that's not what your doing, having a job, college, feeling pressured and mental health issues is not easy. Life is not a race, and it's not about what's happening in other peoples lives, life is about you and what makes you happy. Don't allow people's thoughts knock you down.Your happiness your life is what matters not theres ❤gives you a giant festive tiny hug ❤

@Ezmel222

I understand that people often look around and see others doing this or that we have not....

life is not a race no one is keeping score..... and college grads sometimes feel exactly like you do. it does not guarantee either a job or a path a person wants to do with their lives. many people start down a path and find their way in experiencing various jobs or paths.

driving can sometimes seem overwhelming to learn some people seem unfazed and others seem to not feel comfortable you are not alone.... it takes time long after a person gets a license to have enough experience to be a good driver.... there is no rush ....

i feel the idea that we must keep up or have this or that done by X age only fuels the anxiety..... Once we see no one is keeping score and so what if you do not pass the first time etc or it takes longer....  in the end no one cares or remembers only YOU so give yourself a break
