hope everyone is doing well, I’m writing this because i’m just trying whatever i can now to try and help myself. I’m currently struggling with depression again, I thought it was gone, but it came back very subtly and it took me awhile to notice. The constant feeling of being tired, not fully feeling like myself, or always being in a bad mood for no reason. I thought it was just something wrong with my sleep or daily habits but it’s been happening for years and i’ve tried almost everything and im just completely lost now on what i can do. I play basketball and after almost every game im in some sort of bad mood, whether it’s in the moment or later, but if i were to be playing pickup or just shooting around i would be perfectly fine. That’s also apart of playing at the competitive level, i think that it more of reveals character. And after everything going on in my life I realize that I’m hurting a lot more than I ever knew. I don’t even completely know why but i know that the pain is just sitting within me and idk what to do with it.

thank you if you read this,

God bless

It is hard to take a constant always there under the surface depression.

If you seem ok with pickup games or playing around but after games it is present. Is the amount of depression worse if you for example lose a game vs winning.

Perhaps your depression is brought on by stress. Not from outward sources but from inside.

I know when I feel like things are out of my control and not going the way i expect i tell myself i feel ill and am tired ... took a long time to realize i was shutting myself down and it was depression hard to push thru some days.......... but the good news is you can change when you recognize it for depression.

Find something new to do when you feel it the too  tired.......... the i do not give a care thing ....  because depression IMO feeds on itself the day you just nap to escape becomes the day lost to doing nothing and then we judge ourselves on that too.

Depression can do a lot to someone's feelings, it's better to tell someone and to stop pretending that your okay, you're not alone in this, please you can tell me or someone else, it's your choice to tell what's been happening in your life, I'm a very good listener ❤
