I hate being asked how my day was or how I am

The title, that is it. I love asking others but I hate being asked.

@lovingHuman5959

why do you hate it?

 Is it that in most settings it is a polite ice breaker but NO one seems to really care about your answer....   Or is it that you feel everything you do is mundane and not interesting....

i dislike it as well................................................... because I saw it was because the person who asks the most simply does not want an answer beyond "fine" but want credit for faking interest in my day.... i am fine with others asking and appreciate those who mean it and listen.

I hate it to. Most days I'm not really doing ok and I don't want to dump that on a stranger that probably doesn't even care. But I also don't like lying and saying I'm having a good day or I'm fine when I'm not.

I'll never ask you how you are or how your day was. Now...how do ya like this weather? Is it [insert whatever it is there] enough for you?

I think I appreciate “are you okay?” When I look like I’m not doing okay and I’m definitely not okay. 9/10 times I will say “I’m fine just tired.” It always perks me up a tiny bit some actually sees me. Usually I’m so in my feelings it comes outta nowhere to me. I try to ask others “are you okay?” I try to talk a little if I think I need too.

Also if I had a partner to come home to (I used to) I loved getting asked this question. How nice it was to actually go into detail if you had a bad day.
