I'm getting worse again

My depression has gotten worse again. I am back to wanting to sleep all the time again, not motivated to eat unless I force myself to, not enjoying things I normally do.

I don't know what to do.

@CryptidCircus

🥺

I'm sorry you are struggling again.

It can be so lonely and difficult but it's important to try and get up and even do something small, to allow you to start slowly feeling better.

Sending you my genuine best wishes 💕💜

Hey there @CryptidCircus,

I hear you and understand that you are back to feeling something you have been through before. I know how defeating it feels to be back to square one again. Please know your feelings are completely valid.

Has this been triggered with a recent event, or has this been building up for some time now?

If you need someone, I am here to hold space. Please know you are not alone. We are here for you.

@CryptidCircus I'm so sorry you're struggling with that. I find that if you can make yourself do something fun or something you enjoy, or at least something that used to make you feel like that, it might help. That's just me personally, though, and you might be different. If you ever need to talk, I'm here for you. *hugs* <3<3<3

@CryptidCircus

That sounds so heavy to carry — feeling yourself slipping back into that familiar darkness after maybe holding it off for a while. It’s painful when the things that once brought comfort or joy suddenly feel flat, when even basic needs like eating or staying awake become uphill battles. It’s not just exhaustion — it’s that quiet, invisible weight that makes everything feel harder than it “should” be.

What you’re experiencing doesn’t make you weak or broken; it means you’ve been trying to hold yourself together for a long time, and your mind and body are tired. Sometimes, when life feels like too much, the body retreats — through sleep, withdrawal, or stillness — almost as a way to protect itself. It’s not failure; it’s a sign you’ve been fighting for too long without enough rest that truly restores you.

Right now, don’t think about fixing everything — just think about softening the moment you’re in. Maybe that means sitting by the window and letting light touch your face, even for a minute. Maybe it’s putting on a song that feels like safety, not energy. Maybe it’s eating a small, comforting food, not because you want to, but because you deserve nourishment.

Try to give yourself permission to do less, not more — to move at the pace of your heart. You don’t have to be joyful to be healing. You just have to stay — here, breathing, showing up however you can.

This isn’t the end of your story — it’s a pause, a tired page. And the fact that you’re reaching out, still seeking some kind of direction or understanding, is proof that somewhere deep inside, there’s still a part of you that wants to live differently. That part deserves gentle care, not pressure.

If you’d like, I can share small, realistic steps to help reawaken motivation and warmth — not the “cheer up” kind, but the quiet, steady kind that meets you where you are. Would you like me to write that out?
