I’m tired of trying…
I did everything i was told do to in order to prepare me for the real world when I graduated. All of that turned out to be a lie. Two degrees and nothing to show for it but a wide range of rejected job applications. My finances are in the gutter and I have so much debt. I keep bouncing from one temp job to another. Literally got cut from one temp job a couple of weeks ago so things are once again dire. I’m not close to my family and my friends live hundreds miles away and have their own lives. I did everything I possibly could to avoid where i am now and i still managed to screw up. I honestly wish i could’ve have traded places with my mom when she died of cancer. I’m just taking up space in this world with nothing to show for it. I don’t want to do this anymore. I can’t do this anymore. I so tired of ppl telling me things get better when they don’t. I’m burnt out from trying to do my best and it’s never enough. I’m so damn tired living.
Been there too. We should start a business
@Planisphere102
the first line of you doing all that you were told to do? by whom ? parents/ peers/ idealists?
this was a line a close friend once said they had this idea that all the school and debt from that was going to open doors automatically ... it did not................ now after many hard feelings and many setbacks they found their stride ..................ironically in a job not related to their degrees ..........
The reality is the real world does not work like it says in a book or even a professor .... of how it is portrayed in TV, media and movies.
