I really hate depression, I just don't get it.

I've been suffering for depression since childhood.  Today I was having a rare good day.  I was in a good mood, even felt good for once.  Then bam.  Not just sad, buy crying sad and mood went way down.  I just don't get it.  I think I'll just cuddle a cat to try to level my mood.  I just don't get why is changed so fast.  Nothing happened so it confused me.  Especially since a good day is so rare, I don't even remember the last time I was actually happy for a few hours.

@Tinywhisper11  Thank you, after spending time with my kitties I went back to feeling normal, not happy but not super sad.

@ShellyZz It may seem a bit boring, but depression, although it is not obvious, has an underlying cause, and of course, it is more difficult to fight it when it is from childhood. But, one good day says that it is still possible, so you have a chance

@ShellyZz

There could be a lot of reasons behind that, but I wonder if it can be a chemical thing? Perhaps using certain supplements can help? I am not sure if I am allowed to mention them here but you can look them up, they aren't meds, they have no side effects, you might benefit from them and as far as I know they are affordable even for financially struggling individuals. They are both amino acids to support the brain in feeling better. Someone let me know if I can mention them here please, and if so I will.

@patientAcai8660 I'll have to try that.  I am on meds from a doctor that normally help.  That day for whatever reason they didn't.  I did have a blood test done and most of my levels are good.  I do have something wrong with my amylase level so I have a follow up with that.  Not sure what that is I did look it up and just caused my self anxiety.  I had wondered why they asked if I drink alcohol, which I don't.
