Life is a rollercoaster!
Life is a rollercoaster!
No matter who you are, what gender you are, your age, skin colour, whether you have disabilities etc, life is a rollercoaster!
I have been away from 7cups for a while because once again, my life went on a rollercoaster and we cannot stop it, but one thing is for sure... it's there for a reason!
Sometimes, we may not know that reason and sometimes we might, all kinds of great and devastating things can happen spaced out or all at once and it can definitely affect our mood, health and well-being.
Some things are there to build us up and make us stronger, some things will make us more grateful for what we already have in life.. no matter how poor we think we are (this isn't meaning money) - This could be poor in friendships, relationships, necessities and just a happy balance in life.
I have often felt alone, sometimes I like it that way because it gives me a time for some self-reflection, I haven't been able to work for a while for multiple reasons although... I REALLY want to get back to work!
No matter how sad my life can be at times, I am immensely grateful for the following things in my life that money cannot EVER buy:
- My parents
- My children
- The great relationship with my children's mum even though we're separated
- I'm not doing great health wise, but I'm grateful for the health I do have
- I have a home, it isn't perfect (nowhere near perfect) - but it's a roof over my head
No matter where your life is at right now, remember that there are a lot of people in this community who care about you, they want to get to know you and you can make some nice friendships here with likeminded people who can do one thing not many others can... understand you!
That's what first brought me to 7cups, and I take time away when needed, but I always come back because this community gave me my life back.
When I was at my lowest and the mental health teams, doctors, my "friends" were "too busy" to talk to me, 7cups and this amazing community of people were here and they gave me what nobody else would - support, a listening ear, understanding, love and care.
I am forever grateful to 7cups, I dread to think where I would of been without it and you have made that step by being here, and we're here.
Keep strong, keep safe and remember that tomorrow isn't far away and its a new day!
