Hello everyone, I hope you are all being easy on yourself this week.

Last week we discussed: What boundaries do you need to set to protect your mental health while also maintaining a healthy relationship? Thank you to all who participated and shared their thoughts for discussion. I enjoyed them. I hope you all did too. If you didn't share yours, please share them here and I look forward to reading and discussing them with you.

This week's prompt: What small steps can you take today to prioritize self-care?

We do not talk much about self-care but something that helps in depression is self-care. Self-care allows you to be kinder and gentle to yourself. Focus on your need and prioritize what is important for you. LEt's get started and discuss it this week. All thoughts and points, please share.

I have recently started to give myself the benefit of the doubt. Things like allowing myself to take some rest as I've had a busy week, or allowing myself a day off despite making plans. I have also started to romanticize the small things, which I guess can be pretty great to start the self-care journey.

@Meiiko Giving yourself the benefit of the doubt and allowing time for rest and leisure are valuable first steps. Keeping an appreciative mindset can nurture self-care habits.
