"You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats, so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, how you can still come out of it." — Maya Angelou

To Our Newcomers: A warm, heartfelt welcome to you! We're so glad you're here and part of our caring community. Whether you're seeking support, connection, or a safe space to share, you belong here. ♥️

To Our Returning Members: It’s wonderful to have you back! Your presence and kindness make this community stronger. Thank you for being here.  ❤️

This August, we honor Never Give Up Day (August 18th), a reminder of the incredible strength we carry, even on the hardest days. Let’s celebrate resilience, hope, and the power of lifting each other up.

🌈 Monthly Prompts & Activities:

1️⃣ Share Your Comeback Story – Tell us about a time you kept going, even when things felt impossible. Your strength inspires others!

2️⃣ Encourage a Fellow Member – Leave a kind note or supportive message for someone who might need a boost.

3️⃣ Self-Care Challenge – Try one small act of self-kindness each day (e.g., a walk, journaling, or a mindful break).

4️⃣ Never Give Up Playlist – Share songs that motivate you to push through hard times.

Let’s make this month a reminder that no one walks alone. Every step forward—no matter how small, is worth celebrating. We’re so grateful you’re here with us! ♥️

Gentle Reminder: You matter. You’re valued. And you’re never alone. 🌹

Thank you for posting.😃

  1. A time when I kept going even when things felt impossible is when I kept praying even when things didn't go well as I had planned it would go. It made me realize that things in this world are all temporary.

    1. I can walk for few minutes everyday. I can even journal my thoughts.

    2. Christian songs such as You Say by Lauren Daigle, In Jesus Name by Katy Nichole.

      😄

1, /I have no clue how I am making it through, maybe I'm just very hard headed and suck at giving up, but I've come very close to it, and too close for my own good. That was a harsh reality so here I am, I know that it isn't much to go by, but I would like to try something new that might benefit me and others around me. Being brought up with so much evil I learned quickly that if you spread the opposite, maybe it can break a cycle, so I try my best to be kind and help who I can.

2 I hope that you are at least taking care of your body, as small as drinking a bottle of water or eating your favorite comfort food, or even listening to your favorite artist.

3 if it counts I plan to go to bed soon after finishing my tea and saying goodnight to my corgi

4 I don't know if anyone can relate to me but I cannot pick a favorite album but as for playlist? Anything from the 70s to 2000s playlists.

1 - I'm glad you are here, and I'm even more glad you are using your past to spread kindness, just like me and many others do. It's one of the best things you can do, and you are right, a little kindness goes a long way.

2 - Small self care steps are huge steps towards big ones!! Keep it going!

@Angelanj

Music keeps me going.

@Angelanj I really appreciate this message. It’s a beautiful reminder that resilience doesn’t mean never struggling, it means continuing to move forward with hope, even on the hard days.

@sensiblePenguin8025 I love how you worded that resilience isn't about being perfect or never struggling. Please continue to be gentle with yourself on the hard days. You are doing so much better than you think you are! :) 🌟

@Angelanj

I struggle with the past even now, but I pushed forward with love and resilience in my heart. I used to care for someone incredibly deeply, and when they left me, it felt like a piece of me was taken away from me. But, that wasn’t the case at all. I can still allow for others to live within me without holding onto them so tightly- simply by letting go. Even if the memory of him fades, I’ll never forget the love we shared with each other. And that love is something I’ll always use to spread compassion and kindness towards others.
