Why do I cry without tears?

I feel like crying, I cry but I never let a tear down. Don't think that's a lacrimal issue bc I do shed tears sometimes when I have an anxiety attack. I can also cry if someone else reaches out to me. I do admit that along my life I've suppressed many times my feelings afraid of showing them publicly, but now I'm unable to cry even when I'm alone.

@HenryGabss it sounds like it's a learnt behaviour. I couldn't cry from a very young age till a couple of years ago. But the more I learnt about myself and my issues the easier it became. I hope you can find a way to unlearn that behaviour ❤ hugs you tightly ❤

I found it harder to cry sense I got on antidepressants. I can feel it but I couldn’t do anything. It would have to be deep seated in my mind for a matter of weeks or in rare cases a month for me to cry. I don’t know what’s upsetting you or if you think that’s the only way to let it go. Crying does help and I wish I could do it more too. Sometimes I wanna do it at the worst times. But I know better then when I wanna do it later I can’t.

I hope you feel better soon. I hope you have wonder friends and family you can cry too. (I cry to my mom that really helps.) Or if you need to cry alone and even talk yourself threw it.

It will get better. ❤️
