Words that still hurt… even after a long time
Sometimes a single sentence can sit in our chest for years.
Like some words don’t fade.
They echo… especially on the bad days.
Whether it was a family member, a friend, or someone random, we remember it like it was yesterday.
It stayed and it still hurts when we remember it.
If you want, you can share that moment. Sometimes saying it out loud takes a little bit of the power away.
I'll go first,
“Mom: You’re a disgrace. I tried to miscarry you several times.” 😔
"If I had known your mother would pass and your dad would end up with custody, I would never have married him" my dad's 2nd wife to me. I'm 60 now and I can still see her saying this from the kitchen doorway.

Sounds like an awful person 🥺

@secretTortoise1357
That’s… unbelievably painful to hear from someone who was supposed to step into a caring role. I’m really sorry you had to carry words like that for so long. Nobody deserves to be made to feel unwanted.
It makes sense that it stayed with you all these years. Some sentences just settle deep.

Yes. That one is the worst. Unfortunately, there are more. She was not a nice person.
I am so sorry my friend! Bruises heal. Words stay.
@secretTortoise1357
Yes, so true... they linger forever ☹️

@Ailuraphilelove8tear9 Thank you for trusting me with something so heavy. If you want to share more of what was said to you, I’m here, and you don’t have to hold it by yourself.
@Ailuraphilelove8tear9
My mother once told me in an attempt to get me to hate my father that he wanted to abort me. I realize as an adult in therapy, and soon to be therapist myself, that this was her emotional manipulating me with a piece of information that she might have been internalizing or have actually thought herself. Honestly, she has said a lot of things in my life that were not okay like that.
Thank you for sharing your original post, and I'm so sorry that those hurtful things were said to you. I hope you know that you are not alone, and that there are many people on this platform who will and do support you!
@WaterdhavianGoose 🤗
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience and for the kind words.
I’m really sorry that you had to grow up hearing things like that. No child should ever have to carry words that heavy, especially from a parent. It says a lot about your strength that you’ve been able to understand it, process it, and still become someone who wants to help others.

And thank youu 😊 for the kindness you showed me too. it means more than I can explain✨. It’s comforting to know that people here understand, even when life has been harsh. 🤗💜
My ex-spouse has told me 4x "I wish you were dead"
@Ailuraphilelove8tear9 That’s such a heartbreaking thing to hear, especially coming from a mother. I can’t even imagine how painful that must have been for you. You don’t deserve to carry words like that inside you. You seem like such a kind and cheerful soul, and I never would’ve guessed you were carrying so much. Your presence here truly lights up this community.. remember that, and we’re trulyyy grateful you’re here.

@MeilleureAmie
Oh wow… your words honestly hit me straight in the heart 🥺💗.
I wasn’t expecting something so warm and gentle, and it actually made me tear up a little 😭💞. I didn’t know I could make anyone feel that way here, so reading that my presence “lights up the community” really meant a lot… more than I can explain 🌟💜.
I’ve been having a rough day 😣💭, and your message felt like this tiny soft hug in the middle of it 🤍🤗. It genuinely made me smile 😊💛.
Thank you…Honestly 💜🙏.
You have such an angelic way with your words🙌 😇✨.

I have had a traumatic life I cry everyday hoping things will get better then pain hurts so much and I don't know what to do everything is falling apart
@gavla89
I’m really sorry you’re carrying so much right now. What you shared… it’s deeply heavy, and no one deserves to go through that alone. ❤️🩹 I’ve been in those places too, where everything feels like it’s slipping through my fingers — so I can genuinely relate to that kind of ache.
Crying every day doesn’t mean you’re weak; it means you’ve been surviving things that would break most people. The fact that you’re still here, still hoping for better days, shows a strength you probably don’t even see in yourself. 🌙✨
You don’t have to fix everything at once. You deserve support and gentleness, from others and from yourself. If you can, try opening up to someone you trust or a professional who can help you carry some of this weight. You shouldn’t have to do it all alone.
It might feel like everything is falling apart… but you are still standing. That means there’s still room for things to change, slowly and quietly, one moment at a time. 🌿
Hope things will ease off very soon😊🤗
You’re not alone in this, we are here for you always ✨😊
Sending lots of positive vibes and happiness 😊 💜
