a poem i wrote when i was in pretty bad place i mean im not 100 percent now but yk ye

starved for recognition

i do not know when this feeling started

but ever since it did my joy has departed

i spend each day hoping that  its my last

for i cannot see the future as i am stuck in the past

my self belief once so high

is now just a memory or a cloud in the sky

my thoughts just worsen by the day

i do not know how much longer i can stay

all i wish is to start life again

they say it gets better but they never say when

as i sit here alone and destressed

i do not know when i wasnt depressed

i just hope i can be forgiven

idc where i go but i know its not heaven

Here’s a spontaneous poem just for you:

For better or worse, others often think they see us when they only see projections of themselves.

When seeking recognition, whether for good or ill, who’s being recognized?

Recognition can be a convenient advantage, but it’s best not to view it as critical.

Feelings can be unpredictable. We can feel gray on a sunny day, or feel sunny on a gray day.

Ask any athlete, fumble the ball and confidence disappears – for a while. The memory of confidence or lack of it appears and disappears, very much like clouds, yet they both create and point to actual evidence.

Remembering confidence invites its return.

Thoughts worsen by the day – until they don’t.

With each awakening, life starts again.

With each awakening, you’re a different person, with at least one more day’s wisdom and experience.

Does it get better?

Maybe it’s better when it doesn’t get worse, but it’s better because we learn how to make the best of it.

Maybe hope makes it better.

Maybe it would’ve been better if we hadn’t given up.

Without condemnation, there’s no need to forgive, and there is no condemnation.

I can’t define Heaven, but if you don’t end up there, I don’t want to be there either.

@nobodysfavourite This poem seems like a confession. I see the light here, "i spend each day hoping that  its my last".
