i dont know if i can keep going
hey, ive honestly been feeling really bad recently and i guess i need to let it all out. so my mother always tells me everything that i do wrong, makes sure i see every little mistake i make, points out every way im worse than her, always says i do everything bad. shes told me for years that i was overweight (i was only slightly chubby and that was in elementary school) and that i should eat healthier and work out more. ive recently been working out way more and trying to eat better but she doesnt care or notice at all and still criticizes my diet and honestly i dont even want to eat anymore. because of this i feel like im never enough, like i should do more, try harder, be better, but i just cant improve no matter how hard i try. she also yells at me a lot, threatens me, makes fun of me and insults me and it is just so tiring. she also really likes to use her authority against me and has so many double standards. i also can barely get out of bed because i never have any energy anymore and nothing seems important. no one reaches out to talk to me, none of my friends. people dont put as much effort into relationships as i do and it shows. i feel like no one cares or would notice if i was gone and even though i know thats not true that thought still stays in the back of my mind. ive relapsed a week ago and that has just made me feel even worse and i dont know how to keep going anymore. everything is 10x harder than it should be and i barely see the point of trying.

Your mother is wrong.
You matter.
Your feelings matter.
I'm sorry you have to go through this.
Your mother should be a supportive and loving voice, we can be honest in our words, but never cruel.
Sending you my best wishes 💜 💕Â

Your strong. Not all parents are meant to be parents. Your strengths will show to someone when you least expect it. Keep up the great work and know you’re appreciated and loved.
@valentinorossi46. Hey, I really feel for you — that sounds incredibly painful. No one deserves to be constantly criticized or made to feel small, especially by someone who’s supposed to lift them up. You’ve been carrying so much, and it makes sense that you’re exhausted and starting to lose motivation. It’s not that you’re weak — it’s that you’ve been in survival mode for so long.
I can tell you’re trying so hard to improve, even when it feels like no one sees it. That says a lot about your strength. Please remember that your worth isn’t defined by what your mom says or how she treats you. You’re already doing enough just by trying to care for yourself through all of this.
If you can, try to do one small thing every day that’s just for you — something gentle that reminds you you’re still here, still deserving of kindness. And if the thoughts get too heavy or you ever feel unsafe, please reach out for help — you’re not alone in this, even if it feels that way.
You matter more than you realize.
@valentinorossi46 I am sorry but my parents do this to me as well

I struggle with this currently as well. Even as an adult. Still hearing my mother telling me how much of a loser I am, in my head, even when things are going great. There is no handbook for how to raise children the right way, and your mother seems misguided. Keep working out. Keep eating right. Listen to positive affirmations daily. Let's get through this together!
