Hey everyone!

It's Mental Health Awareness week!

Throughout this week we're working to give mentally ill people a voice. We want to join us in using your voice to express yourself creatively. You are encouraged to create something yourself but you are also welcome to use famous poems etc for this event too.

How it works:

heartFind or make a piece of art, a poem, a description etc that you feel represents you or your mental illness

heartPost it here (and make sure you tell us who it's by)

heartYou are welcome to post multiple times

heartTag some people to add their submissions

heartLook at all the wonderful artwork

Enjoy!

Here's a poem for those edgy teens who don't realize how cringy we truly are.

I'd like to lead a life, normal and sane, one lacking in pain

But to dreams like that

I tip my hat

And I'll greet the devil when I get back

See, I've never been a saint

Satan knows me well by name

But still, I wonder if I truly deserve all this pain?

Some ramblings I wrote for day 1 of the 750 word challenge.

(Slightly shortened version)

Lonliness is brought on by temptation, that want for social interaction and gratification. If you could give that yourself maybe you'd finally be re-assured. So lift your head and don't lay there dead as you've got yourself as your friend. Those thoughts that cycle through your brain is what makes you feel like you're stuck in the rain. Listen to that voice in side your conscience or this pain will be more than constant.

The vibrations running through my fingers as I lay here in content leave me feeling extatic. I feel in motion and ready to push. The conversation with the demon in my brain has stopped me feeling that temptation. The want for pain has gone away. Now i'm here, feeling in prime. Why did I not think of this before and rid myself of that crime? Why injure myself when I could instead endure myself. Instead of moping around like a slug ask yourself if there's anyway you can actively cure this lug. Take your intuition and do what's right, or you might find yourself in a frightful fight. It may not be physical, but much more personal than most.

The fight between you and yourself is what will make you find that light. Figure out your needs and how far you can push, or if you want to stay this way you can hide away and hush. Why make your bed to lay and suffer when you could push yourself and be at bliss forever.

If you take advice and do as they say, you'll find that you'll begin to play. You won't be you, you'll be them and that's because you want it to end.

Put your chin up and remember your past, think of all you've been through and don't be rash. Really stop, think and analyse how you can do this again. You can bring this sadness to an end.

Tranquility is what everybody wants, but you can't have that until you're at peace with your own mind. If you feel guilt, face it or you'll be in a huilt. Guilt is something that does not fade, it only will when you face the parade. Step up and feel the thunder in order to unravel this blunder.

Lay dead or fly high, it's a choice that only you can decide. Your doctors can give you medicine, your friends can give you sympathy but there isn't actually any help until you start making changes. Only you can make a change so stop feeling strange. You need to accept your past and the trauma you have suffered because if you relive them in your brain all you're doing is drowning out in the rain.

You're human. You have the strength, the intellect and the will power to push - so use it. If you don't, you won't feel dope. Do something new, learn a skill. Think of all the dreams you could fufill.

As I type, I begin to lose my hype - but not worry for there's other motivations to keep me from that fright. I do not wish to slide back down because I'm up and this is where I stay. It's a tranquil and peaceful joint. I hope that all experience this at some point.

Don't be shy to the idea of change.

Aging is evolving, changing is aging. New is often good if you open up and lower your hood, deeds will be done and evil will perish in which needs are no must and no musts be done.

Good deeds are good but self help is better, if you don't get this it seems you don't understand this letter. I wish that soon you push through too, for it's the proudness that got me through.

This is a poem I called "Human"

You're not here to fix everybody's problems.

You're not the fault of everything.

You're not part of a system, a group or class.

You're just a human being.

Your personality doesn't fit in any one category.

You're not going to be as good at something twice.

Your skin has has bumps and scratches.

Your body doesn't always work as it's meant to.

You're just as any human is.

Things aren't always going to be perfectly arranged.

Moments aren't always going to be perfectly executed.

Words aren't always going to be perfectly said.

Life isn't always like the movies that befriended you.

It's so much more.

Others might not be wonderful after all.

Others might not be terrible after all.

Some might cheat, backstab and lie,

But others are the magnificent few who care.

Some people really do care.

Some people just have a lot on their mind.

Some people don't always have the right answer.

Some people say that it's called being human.

This poem I wrote 3 days ago. .

Goodbye

You left, where we not good enough? The drugs were more important. Maybe if I wasn't ever here, you would be better off. I remember you did push-ups, I was on your back. I laughed you smiled. You were my best friend. One of us must have faded into the dark. It lead to the final spark. Boom it happened. More drinking spree's, but if it ever got out of hand you made sure you'd flee. What about your boy? He isn't a toy. Be there for him, sit back and enjoy. The drugs stole you from him right? What will it take another mistake?

So sorry to people on here I haven't been really talkative. I recently had a friend commit suicide. It has been hard it was yesterday this happened. I cried all day yesterday. I will probably write a poem about that later on.

@CaringBrit @TaranWanderer @BellaStorm17

For everyone else here I love you and I'm sorry I'm not me rn.
