Gaming
The way I compensate for my depression is by spending all my free time doing fun things to try to boost my mood. In grade school it was a variety of fun activities, but its been impossible to get people to go out and do things with me since I finished high school. So now I spend all my free time at home trying to make myself happy (or at least okay), and gaming seems to work the best.
Do any of you do that too? I think it would be more effective if I wasnt alone though, so if anyone wants to connect on Steam or Kongregate let me know. For multiplayer games I usually play Survival or RPGs, like ARK, Savage Lands, Baldurs Gate, Icewind Dale, Neverwinter Nights, Dofus/Wakfu, et cetera. I usually just play singleplayer or singleplayer games though because people online usually just troll me and make me feel worse, so Im hoping I can meet some people to play with who arent going to do that.
@MonsterHart Unfortunately 7 Cups does not allow anyone to connect with you in other places. This is Rule 4 in our Guidelines.
I agree with you that it would be good to find other gamers who like the same games, and it's difficult because there are a lot of trolls around. In fact, the danger of trolls is one of the reasons 7 Cups does not allow offsite contact.

When I start playing different games actively and often, this is a clear signal to me that something is wrong. And sometimes this is really a signal of the upcoming depression. Now I occasionally play dinoswords which I found on a site with other online games, just to relax and diversify my leisure a little, which is a good way.
@MonsterHart maybe try on reddit or another platform? or perhaps even gaming interest meetups around your area could be fun to try if there is any:)

Gaming helps me too :) It lets me escape for a little while

Videogames are highly overstimulating.
Whenever I play games, everything else seems so boring and slow. That's why I completely stopped playing videogames and turned to less stimulating activities and maybe you should also try.
