7 years. I'm 27 now and it looks like nothing has improved. I'm just afraid that it'll be this bad for my whole life.

My entire life. I wish I could have a week or so without any of my mental illnesses just to see what life would be like with a healthy mind, to see if fighting for it would be worth it.

Since I was a child. I always felt lonely and helpless, and I was never enthusiastic about anything. Looking back at my childhood circumstances, I understand why I was an unhappy child. As much as I have reflected upon those patterns, they still continue to haunt me. I have eliminated all toxic relationships in my life...unfortunately, I am so averse to dysfunction that I don't really have the desire to seek out or maintain friendships or romantic relationships. I have grown a lot, but at 46, with few meaningful social ties to the world, it becomes more and more difficult to care about staying on this planet. I feel I lead a double life...I'm in healthcare and I spend my days taking care of patients, encouraging them, supporting them, comforting them. But in my personal life I barely take care of myself. I try to be active and eat well, but it takes so much effort just to feel blah. I have a sub-par income for my skillset, but I don't have the energy or motivation to get a better job. I'm not really sure what to do at this point.
