Hi everyone!
My name is Lynnie and I've dealt with depression for a few years now. I can relate very much to the struggles you may be feeling day to day, and it's definitely rough having depression.
I joined 7 Cups when my depression was at it's worst point, but through being a listener I slowly started getting better, as well as talking to my doctor about it. I think this community is so amazing towards those with depression![]()

Hi, my name is Michele. I've been dealing with major depression on and off the past 6 years. It started after my first miscarriage. I've gone thru infertility treatments with no success. I've had 2 miscarriages total. Right now I'm dealing with allergy to my own progesterone. Both my allergist and gyn have told me pregnancy would kill me. Needless to say, I'm not doing so well right now. Just looking to vent and for xtra support.
Hi my name is Hunter and this is my first time trying to get help for my depression..... I realized it was pushing people away and I didnt want to be that way anymore.... but right now I just dont feel like I deserve to be happy
Hi I'm Mia, I adore helping people because I think it makes you feel good about yourself and hopefully makes the other person feels good about themselves to. I've always been a lonely person really ever since I started secondary school, no ones ever really wanted me or accepted me.
Sometimes it's hard to talk to your parents/guardians because you feel awkward , so that's why I'm here to help you. I suffer from depression and anxiety but I love helping people andmaking other people feel better about themselves. If anyone is feeling low down or anything I'm always avainle to make you better
Hieveryone,
My name is Melissa. I've had depression since I was a very little girl, and Ihave been supporting people since I was 14 years old. I struggle through most days, but I am here. I'm alive and well. I have the strength to get by. I have enough to go around.I feel like I have so much to offer, and I am easy to talk to. I have so much love and compassion. I am funny, random, enthusiastic and a great listener.I know about the stigma, causes, and affects it may have. I am currently taking a program in school so that I can focus on and devote to helping people for the rest of my life.I know there is much for me to learn, but I am willing to do my very best.
What brought me to 7 cups was finally finding another way to reach out and help someone who is suffering fromdepression.I do not know your story, but I am willing to be a support in your life. I can understand and relate to the struggles you may face. Imay not be able tohelp you all, but I will at least be able to make thedifference in the life of oneperson. I recognize that isn't easy to talk about depression, and it is incredibly hard to deal with, but you don't have to go throughthis alone. Remember, you are not a burden. I want to help. Other listeners want to help too.
Please feel free to contact me any time, I will make the time to chat with you, no matter what I am doing 😊
Hi,
Personally, depression has been mybiggeststruggle. I've beenmildly depressed since I was maybe 11years old, possibly earlier, and it became major depression when I was 19. I was lucky enough to be able to get some help afterwards, and now I feel like it might bepossible for me to deal with it. For me it was a combo of therapy, both group and individual, and antidepressants. Everyone's experience is different, but I think we all share that horrible feelingofeverything weighingon you, and just wanting it all to stop.
I'm not a very social person, but I joined just a few hours agobecause it's so hard to go through depression and whatever else alone.Support is so important, and I want tosupport other people as best I can. If anyone wants to chat, I'm definitely willing to listen.

Hi my name is Nick I'm 36 and have been on antidepressants on and off since I was 18 . I Have gone threw 3-4 bad depressions in my life usually reacuringevery 5 years or so . I am going threw one right now it started at the end of December and has been a living hell filled with panic attacks , panic disorder , fear of death and total lack of joy . I'm lucky in a sense I'm laid off in the winter witch is good because I never want to leave the house . I have a appointment with my Dr in a couple weeks but he increased my antidepressants over the phone , but I fear it's making it worse , I spend all day on the couch and watch the same shows over and over on tvto try and laugh ( funny shows) . I have a supportive family but I fear none of them understand what I am going threw . I hardly sleep and if I do the dreams from the medication are unbearable and make me feel like I'm in a coma ( if that makes any sense ) and my days are filled with panic attacks and fear of dying . I don't know if anyone out there feels the same if so pls give me a shout I'd love to share .
Hi, my name is Adrianna, and I'm 17. I've had depression for almost 3 years and have been in therapy for about a year and a half. I would say beginning to make myself better by going to therapy was the best choice I've ever made because I probably wouldn't be alive without it.
Well Adrianna, you are a very strong person to be able to go through depression for that long. Even to go for therapy, quite a few people fear seeking for help. I don't know your entire story but I just want you to know that to keep strong and brave person. Live through it knowing that you have made it this far and that you are getting better. I always like to look at this quote I found on the internet. What's your superpower? Mine is drinking milk
You are very strong for trying to recover, stay strong x
