Not so great new beginnings
Hello.. I'm new to this site so bare with me.
In July my mother passed away from cancer. she was diagnosed and then almost exactly a year later passed away. I just moved to a new city thinking that being around friends would help me find something but I drink more and cry more and crave sleep. I moved into an apartment alone ( and am now moving out to stay with friends). I wake up sick, I cannot eat a full meal, and sometimes when I'm driving, I think of what it would feel like to just slide off the road. But I don't because I know it would burden so many others. So, I continue on and cry.
It has hit you hard, and it seems "not so great" is a very considerable understatement. It's like it has shaken the whole basis of your own life.
I hope you'll be able to find listeners here you can talk to about what happened and about your feelings, and I hope it will help you to find resolution. There are also professionals here who can help with these kinds of things, if you prefer or if it is necessary. If you'd like to chat to me about things, click on my name above and send me a message.

@RarelyCharlie thank you for reaching out. you are right, the not so great is an understatement but with everyone I speak to, I feel like I have to tone it down around people because I am afraid I will get backlash that I'm over reacting (( have before with another situation). it isn't over reacting to me but I don't think many others will understand.
@Wanderwoman14 I'm so sorry that you've been through something so awful. My sincere condolences. I don't think anyone could blame you for feeling so destroyed right now. Hopefully joining your friends will help you start healing. Regardless, we're here for you. Hopefully you can find some support, you deserve it.
@Wanderwoman14 I'm so sorry for your loss. It must be very challenging to deal with, and it sounds like you are feeling quite alienated after this. Please don't feel like you're a burden to us--we appreciate you coming here with your concerns.
