@bonsaiDaisies ...

Hi dear, I'm glad you feel better after writing it, very. Please tell your brain wink to at least try to not feel it is stupid or dumb thing to post. These are real sadnesses and much anxiety provoking. I get it - kind of, at least. I've just completed physical therapy for my L-shoulder (last week 'graduated') and today my L-shoulder and L-elbow are not liking me. Or at least showing me too much pain for having 'graduated' frown I hope your knee begins to feel better and stronger here in the near future! ~ Platy

((Platy gives Daisies a very carefully packed box of encouragement!!!)) Don't worry - it doesn't need refrigeration. hehe

My boyfriend was really upset today, and when I asked him about what was going on, he told me that he had really strong feelings for this ex of his. He said he didn't want to lose me, that he knew he needed to let her go, he was just really struggling with it. It really wasn't something I needed to hear today.

@skyebluez

Also, while I was at my therapist appointment this morning, my therapist read me a report from my parent's lawsuit, that took place two years ago. In that report, it said that I was diagnosed with OCD. At first, I was upset, I didn't understand why no one had told me, why had no one tried to get treatment for me. Later I felt really sad because I realized how much more alike that made me to my dad.

@skyebluez

I can relate. I've lived with the OCD monster my entire life. Very few psychologists understand how to treat it properly. You need a specialist that specifically focuses on CBT and ERP techniques. A great source of information is the non profit organization the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF) based in Boston, Massachusetts. They helped me understand the condition more fully from a scientific perspective. And yes, unfortunately it runs in families. I have it in my own family as well.

One thing I'm feeling sad about today is....

I have no grandparents. I am thankful that I did - that I got to meet them and I have memories of things we did together. But the last about 2.5 weeks, I've been missing them rather a lot. I asked Dad today about who we have left in our family of his parents' generation. There aren't very many :( He said too that my grandfather would have been age 100, this past May! surprise I didn't know that. I confirmed that, he was born in 1918? Yup. Wow. The order of their deaths and the order of amount I miss them ('level'? of our relationship) are different, but it was very weird to realize in 2015/2016? that I was officially grandparent-less. Sure, there are a lot of 'adopt-a-grandparent' and "old people" I know from church ... but those just aren't the same.

Bright side? I'll get to see my aunt tomorrow (and this weekend)! She lives about 360 miles (580 km) from here so it will be very good to see her. She'll be here on Father's Day, which I hope will be good for her (and my uncle and my cousins). Drive safely my dear aunt! Love you!!!!! xoxox ~ Platy

@pinkfluffyunicorns8706 @fluffyunicorns84 @rozie @annie @Kate - just because :) Hi. and @kindDay4067 because I think you may understand this (maybe too well frown ) Love you guys, 7cups friends :)

Oh yes Platy, we do miss our grandparents. Often they have been quite significant in our lives. I understand.

So glad to hear your aunt will be with you and I do hope you all have a lovely family time.! x

Not feeling like myself. I always feel anxious or sad

My mom won't quit smoking. No matter how much I talk to her about it or how much I beg her to stop. And I have a baby on the way. I don't want my child to be around that AT ALL. Now I'm too afraid to even bring it up. She always makes me feel like the bad guy.

That's addiction for you. Ive struggled to help my mother with her alcoholism only to hear " I know it destroyed you but I 'll do what I want anyway". Getting away is the only option. Don't forget manipulation is part of addiction
