i binge netflix. then stop and cry because i've wasted time i could have spent doing something useful. that or some little thing in the show triggers me even farther and i start to make comparisons and question things. by this point, i've worked myself into an anxious state and start to feel unsafe inside my mind, where i cannot trust my thoughts. sometimes i call a help line. sometimes i sleep it off.

@facet5

I have been there as well.. yesterday as a matter of fact. But I try to start fresh everyday because eventually Ill become more resilient to things that upset me and hope to avoid going into an anxious state. Thank you for your post.

Sleep

When I get sad I tend to cry uncontrollably and inconsolably. I like to retreat to my room where I will take a nap or try to distract myself by crafting. I don't like for anyone to know when I'm sad because I feel that others have their own obstacles to jump and they definitely don't need mine added to theirs.

@HVonCannon It's quite the lonely feeling, indeed. I try my best to search for a friend inside of myself but if I feel like I'm lacking the human connection I need, I find that watching some of my favorite YouTubers can cheer me up. Do you like watching anyone on YouTube?

@xbabydoll actually...sometimes I will go on YouTube and watch clips of Dr Phil guests. It is distracting and can often relieve some anxiety. Finding a friend inside yourself can prove difficult when suffering with anxiety or depression.

@HVonCannon Dr. Phil is pretty cool.(: My mom watched him a lot when I was growing up so I'd see him after school lol. Yes, I agree. It's no cake walk to find a friend in yourself when battling those demons. I'm sorry it's got such a tight grip on you.

@xbabydoll I understand. I used to retreat to my room too and craft and be by myself.

Something I do when I feel sad is writing. I write about everything and anything. I write in a journal or type out poems on my laptop, I channel my feelings and write them out of me so that most of my sadness at that time are gone.
