Let's face it, depression can suck big-time and in more ways than one. It can also make you feel like you're all alone. Here, on this site, in this forum, in this thread, let's each find a friend! Because you're not alone, this entire community is here for you.

I am hobbes78, I suffer depression along with anxiety and many other symptoms because of PTSD caused by childhood sexual abuse. My hobbies are drawing, writing, playing the violin, re-staining old funiture. I am trying to figure out this counseling process been referred out by 3 counselors in the past 4 months. Wondering if I should keep trying so hard to just stay alive?
I am Puppy and I love dogs! Because like them, I love food and this is just like me everyday. Food in my mouth, waiting for my master to let me eat :P
Heyy :)) i am val and I'm 15 years old. Depression has been with me throughout my life but I feel like I overcome it everytime it comes to me. I love to play basketball, soccer, tennis and many more sports.

Hi, I'm Isaiah, 17, and I've been on 7cups for a week now. I've been suffering through some of the same struggles as you. I've been almost constantly sad and lonely for the past year and 7 months and I'm scared that I might be depressed. I don't really suffer from social anxiety as much anymore but it still pops up sometimes.
Obviously it's not good that you have these issues but in a way it's comforting to know that other people understand.

Hello Shae :) my name is Natalia and I'm 25, I've dealt with depression for while, and I know what it's like to avoid other people getting involved with my problems, I don't really trust anyone close to me, but I've found that this is a great place to talk about anything and meet some great people. So, my name is Asja but I am used to getting nicknames
And I'll be 17 in September this year.
I looovveee reading and writing, from a young age I was reading about mythology and legends (I have really wild imagination).
Hm, one random fact about me? I had my hair dyed like Harley Quinn's (now it is faded).
-I feel like I always had depression, erstwhile less than now. When I was younger (before puberty) because I am only child in a big family of aunts-uncles, cousins etc. I felt left out and different. One time my cousins mocked with saying me: "Jump off that balcony." and I was sad. Because I grew up playing with myself in comping up with my own games, they rejected me. They made fun of my love to books.
When I got to middle school, a lot of kids mocked me because I am excellent student and because I am blonde (calling me stupid), because I am short and because of my nasal voice.
And then is when puberty came and my depression hitted the highest point. I had different, more mature, viewing of a world and every friend left me.
Because I dress unique, girls and boys in my school and my street made fun of me.
I even tried to self harm myself, but I quited because I knew I am just hurting myself.
To make long story short, I grew past that building my self-confidence.
Today, I feel depressed because I still can not find realreal friends who don't judge me because of my thinking and seeing of a world.
But I am trying everyday to smile and focus on positive thoughts.

Hello everyone, my name is Arthur, but call me Hawk, 22 years old. I am a university student of Information Systems, I live in Brazil, but I can communicate in English (at least enough).
My hobby was to draw, I plan to do it again soon.
I have had severe social anxiety since age 11, and depression since before that, because of violent and unstable parenting. When things got unsustainable I looked for help and found 7cups.
