I mainly listen to an eclectic mix of American & UK music.
Because they speak English.
English music (more of the time I don't know the liryc) but still love Credence, Santana, Janis Joplin, and I also love so many genres totaly different, like tango (I do understand them) :) Latin American folk music; Teresa Teng, a Chinese singer, Song Zuying, another Chinese singer, Faruz and Majida El Roumi, singing in Arabic. Paralamas from Brazil :) Boy, musically speaking the world is so rich and diverse! Ah Andrea Bocelli!

When ilistening to it i just feels motivated again, regained strength to stand up from loneliness and depression...
So...Disturbed, Linkin Park, Adema, Soil, KoRn, and so on
Metal makes me feel rejuvenated sometimes too (: like you said it makes me feel like I can stand up against whatever is bringing me down.
