At my breaking point
I haven't been to class in a week. I have slept all day everyday for the past week. I don't eat. I have no interest in having friends but want friends so bad at the same time. I only feel comfortable in isolation. I have blown off my responsibilities. I am in therapy, and on a new antidepressant and I just dont know where else to turn. I have wanted to break up with my girlfriend because she doesnt make me happy anymore. Literally nothing does and has for a while. I give up. The only peace I get is by sleeping all the time and then I wake up to check my phone. No texts. Nobody would care if I just never left my room. This makes me isolate even more. I am sick of talking to people. I am sick of being awake. Talking to my family doesnt make me happy either. I hate myself. I just dont know how to turn this around. Help.

Can I just sit by you as your friend for now, hold your hand, and try to offer some reassurances?
Sometimes, life can feel really hard - like there's so many pressures on you, so much to do, so little support. And that can become so overwhelming. You sound like you've reached that stage, and I really feel for you.
I don't have a magical answer, but I do know, even if we can't change a circumstance or a situation, we can change the way we view it. I had a minor car accident a few weeks ago....I was okay, but the car didn't do so great. I could feel really down about that, but it wouldn't change it. But you know what else happened that day? Complete strangers offered support and help, a recovery lorry just happened to be in the right place at the right time, and I got home safe and well. It wasn't a bad day all in all.
Okay, I may be rambling.....bear with me. I'm not a happy clappy person, I don't jump out of bed singing, I'm not permanently bathed in a warm sunny glow. But I try, and sometimes that's hard, but I try to be a realist. So yes, I do believe for every down there's something more positive that can come from it. For example, you feel alone, but it's led you to 7 cups. And maybe someone you chat to on this site will help you reflect more positively on life....that's good. Your low mood has led you into therapy, that may lead you to some discoveries about yourself that help you find strength.....that's good.
You're not alone my friend. Support is there, people care. You never find a rainbow, without a little rain.
@Tbigbro278
First of all...(((hugs))) to you. You are not alone here in 7Cups.
We've all been throught this at one time or another, I know I have. This may sound a whole lot of cliche but..."just hang in there, Tbigbro278, another day will come and you can start afresh, little by little, one step at a time. Never give up on yourself :)"
@Tbigbro278 I understand where you're coming from. I've been in that same dark place before & it's the demon that won't get off your back. But please don't give up. Not all days are sunshine & roses & those are the days that you just have to power through but it WILL be ok. I'm sorry I can't give you the magic solution but one thing that does help me is just being in nature. Even when it's cold, sometimes just standing outside staring up at the stars gives me a comfort & peace I can't get anywhere else. As for your friends, consider each of us as your friends. We'll be here for you. Just don't give up.
