Hi all,

I currently work full time in a corporate office and find it EXTREMELY hard to function because of my depression.

Anyone have tips on how to not dread getting up in the morning? Gotta work to survive...unfortunately.

@swampfairy

not easy to leave a cozy bed where you feel safe. however, usually if there is anything in the morning we want to do, leaving the bed is much much easier, even if it is only looking forward to a favorite healthy food item for breakfast, could be anything. concept is to create something that makes you want to get out of the bed. see, if you usually do not want to leave the bed but on a special day you know you have to get up to get a new car free of charge or something you really really want, this thought can override the thought of wanting to stay in bed. hope that helps.

Hey. Having depression and working full time is really hard. Especially when sleeping feels like such a good escape. I'm not sure how to want to go to work, but maybe instead you can find things to look forward to instead. Like if you make it till Wednesday maybe you get to eat your favorite food. If you make it till Friday you get to have time off. I think self care is really important in this situation. Maybe set your desktop as a nice picture and do some mindfulness on break. I'm not sure if there's a way to make up you want to go to work, but maybe you can at least make it bareable?
