Could it be depression?
Hi everyone, I've been struggling with ED for years, couple of years ago I also started having quite big issues with anxiety. I've been feeling very sad, hopeless, disappointed for the past month. I've been having intrusive thoughts... It's like I am stuck in a pitch black room. Nearly every day I just feel so low, it's like being in another dimension, detached from reality. But it sometimes passes for few hours and in that "break" time I just feel exhausted and without any joy. I can't sleep, I've lost appetite. I don't trust myself in a sense that I don't know if I'm experiencing or I'm talking myself into it...

Hi! I am so sorry to hear that you are struggling with anxiety and depression. I know how difficult it can be at times. Have you talked to a therapist or a doctor about how you've been feeling? You deserve to get the help you need and you don't have to do this alone! This website (https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/psychiatrists) can help you find a psychiatrist in your area. They also have a link to find a therapist too. I hope this helps. Thinking of you!
I can speak from experience that sadness and depression is almost addicting. It kinds feels good to feel hopeless (or I'm just super fucked up in the head). I've been there a few times (depressed) and can say for certain, the best way to get out of that funk, is to be around people who are happy. Negativity is contagious and daunting. You are awesome, you know it so why shouldn't everyone know it? Even in the darkest bights, the sun always comes through!
Something that helped me at a younger age, was stoicism. I still listen to quotes from time to time. It helped me realize that not everything is as bad as it seems. In the moment, that is all you know. It's a task that requires the strength of a 1000 men, when you barely feel you can get out of bed, that is discouraging. Its OK to reflect and feel bad. But limit it to 20 minutes and then tell yourself "You are here to kick ass and chew bubble gum. and you are all put of gum".
Take the time to treat yourself, step out of your comfort zone. Set small goals, many s successes contribute to one large one. It may be a dark time in your life and you may feel like you are the only one, but you are not. There are millions of people who are feeling the same way, these people feel alone and the reality is, you are now, but it dosent always have to be that way. I stepped out of my comfort zone and met some really great people after joining a hobby that peaked my interest.
There difference between ordinary and extraordinary, is that little extra. You got this, any obstacle in your way from this point forward are gonna wish it never popped up because you are here to conquer it and move on to the next one. Keep moving forward and always make sure you give yourself the credit and reflect on your accomplishments. We focus more so on the negative than we do on the positive. The good is there, we just need to look through smoke to see it. You got this!
