Does it ever end?
I am depressed and disturbed. Sometimes i am fine, but mostly i am not. Physical pain sometimes suffices the mental torture, at times, i know that's unhealthy. My academics has been harmed, and i have massive trust issues so i didn't consult a therapist before. I am low on confidence when it comes to being and doing something alone. Last year, around this time, a person befriended me, that had catastrophic effect, and i am in need of a closure.
Hey there, I know how tough it is or can be. You are not alone in this and there are many great listeners On here that are willing to help. Please don't give up. I too have lost friends since my depression and it's not easy but if they are true friends they won't leave like that in your darkest hour. As far as trust issues, they are definitely valid but not everyone will let you down so it is worth it looking into a therapist. If you don't want to yet that's fine but at least look for support online. I hope things get better for you. Hang on there.
Oh and as for school, you need to get better first and school second. Trust me I tried to do both and didn't help me nor my academics. Stay strong
School can be a huge factor in depression. If you're not comfortable in a school setting, I can suggest a few online schools.
k12.com is an online public school, so there is no tuition, but it isn't always accepted at every school or state.
jmhs.com is a private online high school, so there is a tuition, but depending on your grade, can be very cheap or very expensive. I do this one right now and I suggest it a lot. I had to pay around $900 for it, though.
Hope this helps!
It's normal to have some days when you feel down. But if you feel down for days at a time and you can't get motivated to do activities you normally enjoy, see your doctor. This is especially important if your sleep patterns and appetite have changed or if you feel hopeless, think about suicide, or turn to alcohol for comfort or relaxation.
