Funny and sad
My mom was talking about people being addicted to prescription drugs, and how when she was cancer free she immediately stopped taking her pain meds so she wouldn't get addicted to them. Then she was saying she doesn't see how it's possible to be addicted to them bc they made her feel numb, ect. and went on describing how they made her feel. It sounded a lot like how I feel (depression symptoms) so I was adding descriptions to it and she was like "you're scaring me, how do you know all this?" And I just said "education" bc she wasn't supportive when I first asked for help from my doctor so she wouldn't know how I'm feeling. I just thought it was funny that we could relate like that, without her even knowing that's how I feel almost daily. Funny and sad at the same time.

Ah, it must be disheartening to not be able to share everything with your mom even though you can relate. It seems to create a little bit of distance, does it not?
@ChristmasTreesInTheMoonlight Hi! I am glad you have someone in real life who can relate, that's always so nice to have. I am glad your mom never got addicted, always great when that happens. I hope your mom will be more supportive in the future if you ask for help from a doctor again <3 By the way, I love your username!
