How to consult doctor

Hi guys this is my first thread and I'm super nervous.

For the first time in my life I finally decided to reach out for the doctor and get some help. I've been sick the past few days and during that time my sudden cry attacks and sleepless nights got worse and worse. I got to the point where I thought that if I don't seek out for help asap I'm gonna completely lose myself one day. The problem is that I haven't told anyone about my struggles throughout the years. So how am I going to explain a doctor who I only met once about my problems? I'm super shy and if I get a rejection I always accept it, which is why I'm scared to bones that in the perspective of my doctor I'm only exaggerating things. How did you get into a conversation with your doctor and how did you manage to make them take you serious?

@Paruparo No one replied yet? That's very disappointing Frowning

One tip I've read about is to write a list of your problems, then choose the three that are worst and you most want your doctor to help with. Then write those three on a separate list and hand that list to the doctor.

I know someone who wasn't able to speak to their doctor at all—the words just wouldn't come out. So they just handed the doctor a list of their top three problems and the doctor went into action.

I also know a doctor who told me they waste so much time trying to get people to say what their problems are, so they absolutely love it when someone has written a list.

If a doctor doesn't take you seriously, walk out immediately and get a different doctor. Doctors should always take people seriously, and almost all of them do.

By the way, if you'd ever like to chat about your situation, feel free to click on my profile picture and message me.
