Impending sense of doom

I'm an overthinker, so let's get that out of the way. Aside from that, I've been having this sense of doom. Like something's not right. It doesn't get me anxious, more so helpless because it sometimes feels inevitable. Part of it is that job requires me to be in a city and I only got myself. Got nothing to look forward to after 10-12 hour work days, fiance will be in a totally different country for her job. Place I live won't allow me to have pets (not like I can afford one anyway). Essentially stranded in a strange land and stuck there (damn contracts). I can't help shake this feeling that everything I hold dear including my fiance will crumble. There's no proof of it, just a pit in my stomach and negative thoughts gnawing the back of my head.

@Xym0x It's clear from what you've written that your life is difficult at the moment in many ways, which you have thought through and identified.

But you seem to have a deep-seated feeling of doom that goes beyond the facts of your difficult situation. Sometimes just talking about things to someone is helpful—maybe a listener here, maybe a professional. Sometimes people find that medical treatment helps for that kind of thing. And I happen to remember that a feeling of doom is a specific symptom of low level carbon monoxide poisoning (from a heating system, typically, perhaps in a neighbouring building). So there might be steps you can take to address that feeling you have in the pit of your stomach, even if you are unable to fix some of the other problems.
