In desperate need of some advice .
I need some serious help .
I have been on meds for 5 years now . Have already tried 2 therapists.
Depression has affected my attention ability quite badly . I find it tough to focus whenever I am learning something new . My mind just deviates into other stuff . I have to deal with so many intrusive and unpleasant thoughts 24 X 7 .
Apart from this , my mood remains low , grumpy and peevish all the time . Meds have helped but only slightly .
I shared my symptoms with my last therapist and she told me that whatever I am experiencing are infact "side effects" of my meds .
I don't know what to do . I am done taking all the meds and also done with therapy . Nothing seems to help me . What should I do ? I want to come out of this depression but just can't . No matter how hard I try I just can't move forward . I take baby steps and all , but still feel like I am stuck quite badly and there seems to be no way out from this quagmire .
If someone has been through this , I would genuinely appreciate some advice .
Thanks for reading .

Hi I am really so sorry you've been struggling alot and that nothing seems to help despite all efforts.
It is very good to see that you're willing to work on yourself and wanting to try and do your best to come out of this situation.
I can understand why you must be so needing an advise , but I don't feel it's good to advise as we really don't know what works for one will work for another also ☹
It appears you've already tried therapy and medicines and the medicines are helpful but also somewhere leading to side effects .
So maybe there's a need to wipe off depression from the root , your struggles are very much valid ❤
How do you feel about practicing gratitude? Making list of things that go well for you each day , when we start inculcating positivity it helps us see the whatever little good there's still in our life , and once we start focusing on positivity, the focus only helps us increase our view , start small today , name 1 thing you're grateful for and then gradually move to the next day with another addition to the list .
Continue to add in the list, on days when it's extremely hard , you will have this list to look for , that will inspire you to keep on trying and looking for more good things .
Start working on what caused you depression, go back to the time you were doing okay and remember what changed for you . Now write down what changed that caused you falling into depression, mention something you can work on that will help you overcome those challenges, seek support, cheer yourself on, you're doing so much and we are proud of you . Just keep going ❤
