I make a regimen with the exact times for me to wake up, shower, eat all my meals, and any other daily necessities that might be overlooked when you're feeling fine. For me personally, these things get really hard to do and I even tend to forget to eat when things are really tough... Scheduling in some time where I absolutely have to get out of the house to exercise and have fun with my hobbies is also a must. I keep up this regimen every day until I can finally start doing things again without it.

My type of depression is linked with anxiety. A big thing that my depression does is make me lack the energy to do simple household chores or self care, and my anxiety attacks me for that lack of energy.

So! My coping tip is to set a timer! I usually set it for 30 minutes, and I pick a spot to clean, (I usually end up starting in the kitchen), and I clean until the timer goes off. If I feel better about cleaning, I continue. If I don't have any more energy, I feel content with what I did in that small time span, and set another timer for later!

I usually try to take what's depressing me & look at it from different prospectives. I overanalyze it sometimes however.

My main trick for dealing with depression is... to do something, almost anything. Clean a room, fix dinner, sweep the floor. Then stand back and tell yourself that you have done that.

Listen to music or watch my fave show online or my fave comedian. Watching him makes me smile and laugh and forget my problems etc... for a bit.

Getting out for fresh air and sun. Walking in the park helps. Spending time with my pets.
