Really struggling to be a functioning adult

I’ve recently been approved for intermittent medical leave for my depression and other mental health issues. I’ve been using it I feel too much. I’ve missed a lot of work and it’s not like I’ll be punished for it but I’m in a vicious cycle of missing work and then stressing about missing work so I don’t sleep and the morning I’m exhausted and end up calling in again. It makes me feel worse that I can’t function as an adult and work and part of me knows it’s the depression talking but I just feel like what’s the point. I’m tired of waking up every day. I’m tired of working or missing work every day. I’m tired of having to eat, shower, care for myself etc on a daily basis and I just don’t know what to do.

Hello there song! Thanks for writing this post. 💜😊
I'm sorry sorry to hear how you have been struggling with your mental health. I understand how hard this can be, I really do. 💜
As you mentioned, you've been missing a lot of work due to your internal struggles. You're in this vicous cycle of missing work and then not sleeping stressing about it and then missing work again. I can see how difficult this has been for you. 🤍 Though you won't get punished, your stress does make sense. ): I'd feel similarly in that situation. I hear you. What you're feeling is understandable and makes absolute sense.
I get that it makes you geel terrible to not to able to function. It sounds like this has really made you exhausted stuck and very stressed, doing your routine works and i get why that is. I'm glad that you recognise that some of your thoughts are intrusive thought.
I identify that this has been super hard for you. Hang in there. 💜
You don't have to do this alone, so feel free to reach out to any listeners here or seek professional help if possible.😊

You're valid and you matter.
