Battling self-destructiveness

Hello guys, I'm new here to this subcommunity so I'm not aware if I've started a thread that already exists so in advance I apologise if it does exist. What lots of people that aren't dealing with depression don't understand enough, or not even notice is the self-destructive behaviour that can appear to people battling with depression. Lots of people experienced the feelings of not wanting any good or help from outside nor reaching for it. They may felt unworthy of a good life and of receiving help. It may seem to them that they are unable to experience the "good" or it doesn't sound that attractive at all. They may let chaos take over their life in order that they won't care what happens to them and around them. What I would like for you is to share what helps you so that other members here may feel like they aren't alone in experiencing this.

@Ganimed Low self esteem and self-destructive behavior usually go hand-in-hand, so that makes sense.
