I feel like I’m struggling everyday. I don’t know how to cope. I feel like my mental health is at an all time low and I don’t know where to go from here b

I understand the feeling of powerlessnes, like you cannot do anything to fix things; that feeling can be one of the most crushing feelings in the world. It is easy to feel that way especially when you have a history of people not treating you with the respect and dignity that they should have been. Maybe you even feel guilty that you want better, because you have been so used to being trodden down. Often when we are in such states of sadness, it becomes easy to think it is all-or-nothing, like everything is completely bad.

Yet I want to remind you that there is hope. Yes, there are many terrible things in the world, things that tear at your heart and your insides and make it feel like every day is a struggle, but at the same time, you will find that there are so many good things in the world, if you just find the courage to open yourself to the idea that something good exists. Perhaps you don't feel you have the courage now to open your heart yet, but that's okay. It's a slow process, and I trust that you have the power in you. The fact that you are choosing to reach out to the community on 7 Cups about your struggles already shows courage and strength. I know, with experience, that it is difficult to talk to other people about these kinds of things.

Thank you ❤️ That made me feel better. It gives me a little hope. I hope one day I get that courage to move forward. But right now I feel stuck in my mind.

I am glad. <3 It is never easy, but having a bit of hope is the start of gaining courage and strength. They say that one of the first steps to getting unstuck is just simply accepting the way you are feeling; it can be easy to try to hide or bottle up tough feelings, but one needs to feel them, as hard as it may be, to understand how to move forward. Remember to try not to hold yourself accountble for things you only had some control over or could not control at all. I hope you find it in you to have kindness and compassion for yourself, not just for others. Although it can be easy to fall into the trap of harshly judging yourself, recognize that it is unfair to hold yourself to such standards. Focus on the things you do have control over, and start off small.

Try journaling. It helps put things in perspective by getting our jumbled and overwhelming thoughts in order. There's always a way, please do not lose hope. I'm glad you shared your experience over here. I hope you feel better soon, sending loads of good wishes your way✨

Hi Jenna . I so relate with what you wrote . I am experiencing the exact same thing . Every day feels like a battle I am fighting . I am just trying to take it one day at a time and not think too much about the future....
Hope things get better for you.
