Online crisis chats?
I was just curious if anyone has used an online crisis chat ( imalive, crisischat.org, etc.) when feeling suidal or just hopelessly depressed? Is it worth even trying? I feel like whatever they are going to tell me to "calm down" I've been told a dozen times before. I hate talking on the phone, so I looked up crisis chats online. I don't know and I'm sorry if this is a topic somewhere else, I didn't see it. Anyway, thanks.
Bumping this because I am interested as well.
I only tried one group chat and it was like walking into a room where you dont know anyone and theyre all mid-conversation talking about something totally unrelated to depression.
That has happened to me, too
But this question is about 1-to-1 chats, not group chats. At 7 Cups you can chat 1-to-1 to any listener who is online, and most of us are willing to chat about depression. For a list, see Browse Listeners (Depression)

I haven't used any online crisis chat services myself. As far as I can tell, the two you mention try to get your personal details. This could mean they are not 100% confidential unless you keep your details secret (or give them false information).
The second one you mention is linked to a national network of crisis centres in the US, and unfortunately their reputation among people who have used them is not wonderful. There have been worrying reports, for example Most Confidential Crisis Lines Covertly Trace Calls, Send Police, and just last month Suicide Hotlines, Risk Assessment and Rights: Whose Safety Matters? I'm not sure how much reports like these should be believed, but they do seem to indicate the need for caution.
On the other hand, services like these do probably train their people much better then 7 Cups does. You are likely to be able to talk about things with someone who really understands what it's like to be depressed, suicidal, or in some other kind of life crisis, someone who doesn't just tell you to calm down.
Therefore, on balance, I would suggest that they are worth probably trying if you are careful to remain anonymous. Use a false name. Connect from a public wifi using a false e-mail address and an anonymous session in your web browser. Also be prepared to try more than once if the first person you get isn't right for you.
