Suicidal and worthless
Hello.. I am reaching out because I cant cope with my thoughts right now. They are full of darkness and hopelessness.
I am 32 years old, just broke up with my boyfriend who i dearly loved and proceeding with a divorce from my husband of 8 years..we broke up over email and havent seen each other since ..I am struggling with losing the man I love so much .
I never had a good relationship with my father, and I seek out validation from men which usually revolves around my looks and leaves me feeling empty because I dont accept myself
can anyone relate to this

Hi there! I'm very sorry to hear what you've been struggling, it must be hard going through your break up and divorce :( Yes! I can relate to you well, my father doesn't display his love often enough to make me wonder "does he really loves me or not?". If you want someone to listen to you, you can always go to" browse listeners" or message me :D. I hope you'll feel well soon
It's very sad that you are going through such a hard time. Breakups can be extremely painful. And that added to the relationship with your father.
Have you tried seeking professional help? Or talking to a listener?
Please hold on and keep going, sweetheart. You have made it this far and you will make it through this.
@Lostandforgotten1985 Hey, kind of going through similar depression and suicidal thought wise.....have been here before too.
I'm close with my Dad, but my birth mum was very manipulative and emotionally and mentally abusive and neglectful, so I can relate some.
Hold on ok? from past experience if you ride it out it does pass eventually, even in the worst situaions where all seems hopeless and I can't see any way out of my situation,, Ive somehow landed on my feet or clawed my way back out at the 11th hour.
That said my Ocd is one demon that won't seem to leave me alone or let me be happy....
Anyway talk to your doctor. Or reach out to a helpline.. I've talked to samaritans before and found them really helpful one lady even talked me down from a full anxiety attack, They are volunteers, but they are all trained in counselling. Also don't be afraid to admit to suicidal thoughts to your doctor like I was, if you are only having the thoughts with no intent to act on them they'll just assess then advise you, maybe prescribe some medication (anti depressants), and if you're willing arrange therapy or counselling. .My local mental health team (I'm still on the waiting list for actual therapy) also sent me a bunch of help/support lines to call in the meantime if I need too. So speaking to your doctor is really helpful.
You can talk to a listener here too but I'd browse rather than use Noni to find one best suited to your needs, and Im not sure the listeners are trained in helping people who are suicidal, although they can refer you I think, same as chat has a button for the same purpose, but a helpline is better if you are in immediate crisis.
Some helplne charities/organisations even have online chats and a text helpline services for people who get anxiety about talking on the phone .I'm not sure what country you are in, but a search should bring up support/helplines in your country/area.
Hope this helps and you start to feel better again soon

I understand how much you must be struggling right now. I have never been in this situation, so it can be a bit hard for me to relate. But still dealing with breakups can be extremely painful to deal with. Since when are you feeling low? And have you consulted a psychologist ?
