What triggers your depression?

My biggest trigger is criticism. And rejection. I have a boss who doesn't believe in giving compliments, but she never fails to criticize her employees every chance she gets. After a year and a half of this, all she would have to do is give the smallest, most inane criticism and I'd have to run to the bathroom, or leave the building - yep, putting the flight in fight or flight.

I tend to get affected by emotions that aren't even mine. The only way of coping that I use (and am aware of) is tuning out. When someone is sad in a conversation, I tend to wonder if it has to do with me. And even in cases when I'm sure it has nothing to do with me (e.g. meeting someone and they're already in a bad mood about something that happened), I get infected. I listen to people when they want to talk about something bothering them but when the vents come without warning I get overwhelmed.

Every day i can't escape my triggers.

Families.

i see them everywhere every day, & i break down & cry somewhere where nobody can see me at least once a day, as i will do every day for the rest of my life.

Waking up everyday. Sometimes waking up from a dream. I sleep on a couch. I have no clothes. I borrow from my friend who is trying to help me. I have no money, no vehicle, no job. I have to live with being abandoned and my baby taken from me. My ex has her. He won't let me talk or let her hear me on the phone. He knows I don't have a vehicle and I can't drive to see her. He tells everyone I abandoned him and her but the truth is he kicked me out with nothing and left me homeless on the streets. I didn't want our daughter on the street homeless with me. She is only 16 months old. My ex had a attorney and his family called child care services on me. As much I didn't want to hand her to him. I had no choice. I thought our baby and how it was not fair for her to suffer with me. Everyday I miss her. I yearn to hold her. To hear her and to give her all my love. That is my trigger. Waking up everyday.

triggers are over thinking, fear. Fear of losing my family fear of someone knows about my issues fear of the future and fear of hurting myself fear of forgetting about God and committing sins big sins. But most of all I am afraid of me

sometimes nothing specific, but something that really contributes to it was not being able to have my own children.

Waking up. Being around people. Being alone. Leaving the house. Doing anything. Wasting my life away. Eating. Getting out of bed.
