Loneliness, not only being alone but being around people who make you feel alone.

My main depression triggers include no socialization, although it's weird because I'm more of an introvert, stress, people yelling at me, and just an overall bad day.

you know there is this kind of therapy called behavioural activation and what is says is that when we don't do things we tend to get sad, but if we start doing things such as going out from the bed, take a walk, interact with other people, etc., eventually we are going to start feeling better :) @MajorMusic500

My depression tends to be linked to anxiety it gets worse when I don't feel in control or when situations or people don't measure up to my expectations

Seeing groups of friends, seeing couples or happy people in general. "Successful" people that actually do something with their life. Or just people of the other gender in general since I'm trans.

Triggers to my depression and anxiety are leaving me alone to think, pushing my worry, not being constant with me, and bursting my bubble when I'm day dreaming.

Hi Rebeka! There is an app called headspace where you can do some meditation exercises. It is great for what you are saying. I talked from my experience. It is so useful . I try to do one exercise in the morning and one before I go to sleep. Hope it is helpful!!! It just take 10 mins @Rebekahwriter13

I guess "stress" would be a good one-word answer. But if we're talking specifics, the idea that all that we have guaranteed in life is that we will work, pay taxes, and die, really aggravates my depression and that thought can really tear me down even on one of my "good days" - whatever those are.

@nophunintendedd

I can see how that thought could be kind of depressing. Another way to think about it, though, is that since those are the only things we are guaranteed in life, we can fill the rest of it ourselves. It's like having a new, undecorated house we have just moved into and only the floor, walls and ceiling are there. We were given the structure the way it already existed, but we can decorate the house the way we want to. Decorating can either be a chore or a game. It depends largely on how we look at it. Sure the walls are kind of dull and maybe not in the greatest shape, but throw on a few photos and a nice entertainment system and we can customize our experience.

if you ever get down and want to talk about things, myself and a lot of other listeners here would like to hear what you have to say. Just remember, you don't have to go through this completely alone. There is a community here that is built around the idea of being there for each other. So we're here for you any time you need us.

Have a great day and let us know if you need anything.

For me it's not achieving things I want to do / unemployment. It really gets me down and makes me feel worthless sometimes.

I'm not sure what triggers my depression. I know it's called dysthymia. I do know I lack will to do. I feel like staying in bed. I have to force mysel to walk Lila and Pupi (my dogs) every once in a while eventhough I need to walk for my diabetes. I simetimes "fake" will to do something with someone, but then find or make any excuse not to. Thanks for reading.

Triggers: judging me, comments of my weight, worries, yelling, fighting, no control, exhaustion, extreme stress, too many people
