You can see this resource here for ways to learn how to cope with them now and to create a safety plan so you can cope with them when they come.

This resource has information to help you understand your suicidal feelings. It talks about how it can come from your mental health problems (depression for example), conflicts with loved ones, financial/ legal problems, medical problems, lack of connections to friends and others, sexual identity issues, and drug/alcohol issues.

It talks about how to deal with suicidal thoughts to try to decrease them. Things you can do according to this resource when you have suicidal thoughts is problem solve, remember the things that have helped you in the past, talk to a trusted friend, family member, or professional, think of reasons for living, do the opposite of how you feel.

Ways that you can try to decrease the chances you feel suicidal in the future are by getting professional support, finding structure and routine, identify high-risk triggers or situations, practice self-care, do things you enjoy, think of personal goals, and follow through with prescribed medications.

This is just a summary of what I got from this article, and it is full of so much more information, explaining each step. I encourage each and everyone of you to read this, and if you need, create a safety plan so that you have one.

Best of luck everyone!

Keep Fighting.

Your Life Is Worth It!

Ember.

This is a great resource and we also have a lot of information on the 7cups wiki that can also help which is located here.

I won't really commit suicide, I have thoughts about it and I think it'd be great if I never existed or if I could just disappear and not feel anything, but there are things I'm afraid of when thinking about suicide which is holding me back from actually doing it. Does it count as a part of this?

@timmywang93 There is a difference between being actively and passively suicidal. It sounds like you are passively suicidal, because you are having those thoughts, but you don't have a plan and don't want to go through with it. Having intrusive suicidal thoughts can be very difficult to handle and are upsetting. So it helps to have some support. You could try and contact someone for support like The Samaritans or another crisis line that exists where you live, or contact a listener on here who is willing to take chats of this nature (not all are), and you can also use some of the resorces that exist to help yourself. For example, check out this link: Suicidal Thoughts: Alternative Thoughts & Actions https://www.7cups.com/forum/DepressionSupportCommunity_52/DepressionResources_214/SuicidalThoughtsAlternativeThoughtsActions_84950/
